Through a portal

The three of you head out of the building and you are quickly buffeted by a hot wind blowing through. As you bend your knees and hunch over against the wind, the brief, intense heat directly warms your skin, uncomfortably reminding you that you've been nude ever since you got kicked out of the inn. You at least fare better than your other human companion, who gets knocked flat on her ass by the sudden gust. Mar'aath can only look down in disappointment at his less valuable find and picks her up again by the torso before turning to you and smiling at the fact that you had the strength to endure it. When you get your bearings back again, you look out to the hellscape. Your view is dominated by a massive river of lava flowing not too far from your current location. Surrounding the banks of this river are what looks like could be trees and bushes, but their leaves are glowing a strange bluish purple instead of green. There are many small, flat buildings scattered along the river, but before you can get a good look at those the large demon steps in front of you, walking over to your left side where a large circular structure stands.

He steps in front of it and touches one of the runes along the rim of the circle. The empty center flares to life, the magic circling towards the center with a blue glow. "Come," Mar'aath orders over his shoulder to you. "As much as I would like to relax now, we have business to attend to."

You follow in step behind him. Even if he does want to keep you as a ****, he's already treated you much better than your last master, and with no way back to the mortal realm you have no idea what horrors might await you should you leave his side. Seeing you follow behind him, he turns back around and steps through the portal. You follow suit close behind, not wanting to linger too long. When you step into the portal, you feel the magic surge through you for a moment as the swirling blue fills your vision. Your keep walking forward and after only a few more steps the magic fades behind you and you again see Mar'aath's back, but in an entirely new place.
