A raise of hands says everyone

Five women appear from the waist up in the water around your group. However, they don't look anything like your nymph. They were completely blue, and every so often they shimmered in the falling sun. Their hair was blue as well, but the ends appeared white, like a breaking surf. Each had different hair styles, and they all wore similar, though personalized, outfits consisting of a thin material covering their privates.

"Um... Nymph, not that I don't mind the hug, but what's going on?" You ask looking down at your passive agressive friend who has yet to let go of your waist. She too appeared like the other five, now blue, but retained her short dress. Her hair cascaded down her back in a series of light curls and her body was noticably more petite than it was before.

She looked at you for a moment before calmly letting go and standing on the ground. She let out a small wince of pain before stepping back into the water.

"Um... Don't mention that please." She said with a strange blush on her face. It was a kind of teal, like an island's lagoon, and it looked kinda cute in Yazas' opinion. "A lot has changed, with the update." She explained.

"Clearly. You got a remodel, you look good by the way." You smile, happy to be reuinited. A few of the other nymphs let out a "awww" causing the nymph to give them a glare. They chuckled as she sighed before turning back to you.

"A lot of hero's have showed up. And the damn necromancer has gotten more powerful, causing even more hero's to appear. Oh, these are yours yes?" She asked pulling out your throwing knives.

"I didn't think I'd see these again." You say in surprise. The nymph blushed once more.

"I uh, grabbed them for you after you and... The Gnoll there ran into your lair to wait out the update." She explained. "But back to the problem at hand. A bunch of new monsters got shipped in and they are killing each other left and right for territory. Not to mention that I'm now susceptible to **** since apparently I'm no longer bound to the lake." She ranted. This was the most emotion you've ever seen her, and you were not sure you liked it.

"Wait, you're not bound to the lake?!" You ask.

"Nope, my sister's here were added to the area to take over my job. One for the falls, one for the river, and three for the lake itself, but they conveniently forgot about me." She exclaimed. For a second there you thought you saw a tear run down her cheek but it was gone as soon as you saw it.

"Don't worry big sis, we'll protect you." One of the nymphs said, giving her a hug from behind.

"I don't want to be protected! I want things to go back to the way they were before the update!" She yelled before collapsing on the ground.

"Hey hey, calm down. Everything will be fine." You say as you kneel down to comfort her. The other nymphs smile before taking a few steps back to give you two a moment.

"How? If i get attacked, I won't survive, and I'll end up respawing somewhere else a completely new nymph with no memory of you or anyone else I know." She sobbed. This struck you as odd as that had never happened when you had respawned back in the world. But then again, there aren't many lonely Drow wandering around the place.

"What if you joined me?" You suggest.

"What?" She asked looking up at you. Her eyes were puffy, and her nose that teal color.

"How about you join me in my lair? I can have my minions construct a basin for you to live in, and you would be bound there. You don't have to loose your memories, and I don't have to loose a friend." You say in a very non-Drow way. Emotions like this are frowned upon in your society, to your memery, but your time uptop has changed you it seems.

"Y-you'd do that for me?" She asked.

"I may be a smartass, but I wouldn't abandon a friend in need." You smile. She looks you right in the eye before she gsve you another hug.

"Thank you." She whispers in you ear. She pulls herself together and with your help stands back up.

Invite water nymph to lair? Y/N

You hit yes and the nymph glows for a moment before a sapphire like stone exits her body into your hand. "What is this?" You ask. Suddenly a prompt appears before you.

For one reason or another your ally cannot join you at the moment. But, once the requirements are met, your ally should join you.

You look to the nymph for more information on the matter.

"Water nymphs take damage when they step foot outside of water. I can only stand it for a few minutes before i must get back in or I'll die." She explains.

"Then how did you enter my cave before?" You ask.

"It was right behind the waterfall before. The ground and air were saturated with water so I didn't have much of a problem." She shrugged.

"That makes sense. Alright then, nymph we need to get some supplies and then we will return to my lair and work on your basin. Until then, stay safe and don't die." You smile. The nymph from earlier wraps her arm around your nymph's waist and pulls her into a side hug.

"Don't worry, we'll keep your girlfriend safe. It's the least we can do for our big sis." She smiles.

"He's not my boyfriend." You nymph argues.

"Your blush says otherwise." One of the others teased.

"Gah!"

You chuckle as you go to the forest to collect as much wood as you can. You had the Gnoll go hunting while you did so as you don't have any sort of food production set up at your lair yet. A few hours later the sun has dropped beneath the horizon and you all meet back up. "Hunt good. Much meat gotten." The Gnoll grunts.

"Good. Let us go, we shouldn't make the Nymph wait any longer than she needs to." You say before leading your party back to the cave.

"Yazas the Thief! Lady Aileme calls for your judgement!" You stop mid step before whirling around to see Emerald Nightlock a thousand meter's or so behind you.

"Run. Now!" You duck into the cave system just in time to dodge an ethereal blade impaling itself where you just stood. The shockwave from the blast shook the earth. "Quickly! The cave is collapsing!" You yell as you run as quickly as possible.

It took a few hours of travelling, but it seems that the more times you traverse from areas, the better your sense of direction becomes. Eventually you make it back to your lair, unscathed. Your Shadow doesn't freak out, so all seems well for the moment, allowing you a moments rest.

"Well, at least my fame is increasing again." You say before you head towards the lodgings cavern. Once there you go to open the build menu, but a message appears before you.

Unable to expand. Land beyond this point is unclaimed. Claim land for 500 fame? Y/N?

"Shit. Well, i should have expected this to happen. Only the highest level monster's have massive amounts of land. But how am I going to get the rest of the fame?" You question aloud. You think for about an hour before an idea strikes you. Opening up the build menu, you scroll through the list before finding what you are looking for.

Minor shrine:

25 wood, any
2 pelts, any
5 ore, copper or silver

Desc: a small shrine to a god/goddess of your choice. Allows better communication between acolytes and patron. Also wards off lesser monsters.

You head towards the cavern that doesn't lead anywhere and place it there, a small oasis in the hollow path, for friend and foe. It's a calculated risk as many adventurers may find it and use it as a camp site, but you can use it hopefully talk to Lady Silver outside of your dreams.

You quickly construct the shrine before a popup appears.

"Lady Silver." You say. The prompt takes it and hums for a moment before the structure flashes for a moment in silver light. When the light dies down, the shrine is complete. Its small, maybe 5 feet tall. It's back is to the cavern wall, and a stone pedestal supports the bottom. Four wooden beams hold up a small triangular roof. From the roof drops a small lantern, unlit, and on the top of the pedestal was a crescent moon made of copper where incense could be placed to burn. On the forward pillars two skins hung down from nails with the image of a bastard sword on top of a full moon embroidered into the pelt.

You sat down and sent a prayer, asking for guidance from your goddess, using the shrines effects.

"Oh, Yazas. I didn't know you planned on building me a shrine like this." Came a voice in your head.

Lady Silver, it is not the altar you asked for, but for now this will have to suffice. Is there anything you need doing that will allow me to build up my fame in order to expand my territory?

Your mind is silent for a few moments before she speaks again. "There is a group that has been captured and is being brought to Utnop before they are brought to a group to be experimented on. They are a rare race that tends to be isolated from most surface dwellers. Free them, and you shall gain fame and experience. They shall arrive from the north in three days. Good luck Yazas." Lady Silver explains before you feel the connection between you sever.

"Hm... this shall be difficult. Utnop knows of me, especially with Nightlock hanging around. Perhaps I can set up an ambush." You think as you go to find the Gnoll. You find him sitting on some furs in your camp, eating a piece of deer with the badger next to him.

"Gnoll, how would you feel about attacking an incoming supply line for Utnop?" You ask hoping that he understands you.

"Raid? Only three of us. Be hard." He says.

"That is true, but it shall be worth it if we succeed." You explain. He nods before putting the deer away.

"Rest then. Need sleep for raid." With that he rolls over, eyes already closed.
