Dealing with the distraction

"I have summoned you. You will obey me!" Both you and your demon lover look up to the source of the shouting. The wizard, still defiantly attempting to keep control, places his hand on a paper tacked to the wall behind him. The paper begins shining brightly, filling the room with light. As you squint in an attempt to see through the glare, a myriad of spectral hands burst forth from the wall, reaching out and grabbing onto the demon. You attempt to reach up and pull one of the arms off of his leg, but your arm simply phases through it.

You lose your balance and fall slightly forward, the unexpected missing support in front of you throwing off your center of gravity. You look up at the demon from your new position on the floor. He is having more success in fighting off the ghostly restraints. He twists and struggles to free his arms and wings, flailing about wildly and trying to dodge more incoming arms. Although he succeeds in pulling many off and crushes them in his massive hands, more replace them and he is **** to continue his struggle again. All you can do is look on in awe at the massive amounts of magical power on display above you.
