How do you plan to kill a hero?
You couldn't find any
You spent hours exploring the outside, going through forests, swamps and even old dungeons not finding a single hero. By nightfall, you made camp near some hot springs. Hungry, you pick some mushrooms surrounding the spring. You ate them raw, they taste like chicken. You look into the springs and see the starry night sky is reflected by the calm water.
There is a rustling noise in a nearby bush, you don't notice it. A figure comes from the bush, slightly crouching your way. You store the mushrooms into your bag, then a twig snaps behind you. You turn around to see what made that noise.
What is it?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
