Chapter 9 by ldnldn

Does Elena try to fix the egregious error?

Yes, and she fails. Spectacularly.

A small voice in her head told her that this wasn’t her problem, that she should just move along and stick to her mission. That voice was drowned by the angry shrills from the rest of her mind that demanded she fix the mistake, not out of her job as a production assistant, but out of her duty as a longtime fan. More determined than before, Elena set her sights on a new and more important task. She quietly entered the room and pressed her body against the structure. She could now properly peek into the set. There were a multitude of actors dressed in knight costumes mingling around and drinking coffee in an otherwise feudal throne room.

Good, they hadn’t started filming yet. The episode could still be saved. Elena put one foot upon a stone and climbed up the back of the triangle. She reached the top and grabbed the flag with one hand, but the emblem didn’t budge no matter how hard she pulled. It seemed like she wasn’t strong to rip it with just one arm, so Elena decided that gravity would do the job for her. Hoping to fall to the ground with the banner in tow, she latched onto the flag with both hands. The flag instead stubbornly remained in place while Elena was spun in midair from the back of the triangle to the front.

The naked woman let go of the flag and fell onto the steep curves of the pyramidal structure. She slid down the smooth stone at the front and then rolled a couple meters into the carpeted floor before coming to a stop. She ended up lying face up on the ground with her arms and legs spread wide apart from one another. The fall made her a bit dizzy, she took a couple of seconds to regain her balance and notice that a veritable platoon of knights, along with the Regent of the Ten Dominions and his family, were admiring her exposed sex from a … quite revealing viewpoint.

“Was she trying to steal the flag?”

“I swear we have the craziest fans.”

“Isn’t she one of Roberts’s groupies?”

“Eep!” Elena yelped, her face feeling practically on fire. She immediately got to her feet and moved both hands in between her legs. It was hard to tell with their helmets, but the actors seemed quite amused at her sudden entrance. The director however, appeared furious and was approaching her with alarming speed. It was time for the assistant to exit stage left, literally, as she fled the set through a door on her left.

On the other side of the door was an amalgamation of blinking lights, flat screens and control panels manned by people in colorful uniforms. The unlucky assistant had stumbled onto the bridge of a spaceship, once again becoming the center of attention the instant she entered the room. Noticing this and the fact that the cameras were actually rolling in this set, Elena whimpered and just kept running, ignoring the confused queries, amused chortles and the one shout of: “Yeah girl, show them who’s boss!” from her audience. She crossed the bridge and opened another door to find herself in front of yet another production crew. This was shaping to be a long run…

The unclothed brunette just kept running nonstop from set to set to flee from the prying eyes and filming cameras contained therein. Her hands constantly shifted all around her body as the assistant switched from trying to hide her jingling breasts, to trying to conceal her sex, to try and cover her buttocks; as a result, she did not do a good job at accomplishing any of those tasks.

Not wanting to even know how many people spotted her, Elena kept running with her gaze fixed on her feet, which caused her quite a number of embarrassing collisions with the scenery and some actors. She had so far had stumbled onto the guest of a talk show, bumbled her way out of a warzone, crashed into the cake from a cooking show, streaked in front of the climactic kiss of an otherwise touching wedding scene and collided with a girl that was pointing at a map filled with clouds and suns. She cursed under her breath at whoever had the idea to house so many sets rights next to each other. As Elena would find out a couple of months later, her little stunt left quite a mark on the blooper reels that those shows produced for their home release; with the exception of her crash with the weather girl, that happened during a live report.

Finally, the assistant opened a door that lead back to an empty street outside. With nowhere else to run, Elena frantically searched for a hiding spot.

What does she find?
