Zoey And Kenny Join JJ And Anna

As JJ and Anna finished up the rom-com that the blonde girl had been halfway through when the teen returned to the lodge they both heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. "They live and breathe!" JJ jokingly called out causing Anna to softly giggle,

Kenny and Zoey both peeked their heads into the living room in surprise, not expecting anyone else to be in the lodge at this point, "What's going on guys, JJ thought you were skiing and Anna, thought you were going outside too," Kenny asked with a curious look,

"You trying to kick us out?" JJ merely replied with a smirk,

"Of course not," Kenny chuckled back,

"Hey, Anna, how are you feeling?" Zoey easily asked the girl while stepping into the room,

"I'm feeling better, thanks...I appreciate the concern, Zoey," Anna replied, feeling a bit awkward that after everything Anna had done to her, the redhead was concerning herself with her feelings,

"That's good to hear," Zoey smiled back before glancing back to Kenny for just a quick second, "Is it alright if we joined you guys?"

"Of course!" Anna replied with no hesitation, immediately scooting right to JJ's side allowing the redhead to sit down, "We just finished up a movie and we're going to start a second,"

"That sounds cool, I never have a problem watching a movie on this tv, they look fucking amazing," Kenny said while looking over at the widescreen above the fireplace,

"Yeah, cozying up and watching something sounds really nice after these last few crazy days," Zoey nodded in agreement,

"Well, then it's settled, Ken, let's do it right, I know Brian's got a popcorn maker in the kitchen," JJ said while jumping to his feet, "Can we get you lovely ladies something to drink while we're in there?" The athlete smoothly added on while looking to Zoey and Anna,

"A seltzer would be great, JJ, thanks," Anna warmly replied,

"Zoey, Bry has these Italian soda's, want to try one with me?" Kenny inquired with a smile

"Sure, that sounds great, I've never had an imported soda before...they really are that rich huh, imported sodas," Zoey repeated in disbelief,

"Yes they are indeed," JJ nodded as he led Kenny out of the room and into the kitchen leaving the two girls in the living room.

As the two men entered the kitchen and Kenny made his way to the fridge, pulling out the soda's as well as the seltzer for Anna while JJ dug into the bottom cabinet by the stove, pulling out a high-end popcorn machine. "So, something tells me things went alright with you and Zoey, huh?" JJ smirked while putting the machine on the counter and plugging it in,

"Yeah, I...things got a little intense with Anna this morning but I didn't let it go anywhere, I couldn't get Zoey out of my head," Kenny explained causing a minor amount of surprise to JJ, "I talked to Anna about it and she told me I had to go talk to her when I went to leave Zoey was literally right there at the door...I'm so lucky she didn't come in a few minutes earlier. Even if I wasn't going to do anything with Anna, seeing that might have wrecked any chance I had," Kenny lowly explained to his friend,

"Well, sorry then, guess that's sorta my bad. I ended up talking to Zoey this morning too, convinced her that she should come back here and talk to you about everything too. Didn't think I was sending her over with a chance to catch you and Anna-" JJ replied as he pulled out a bottle of unpopped kernel and began to load it into the machine,

"We weren't doing anything JJ, Anna was confused, you know?" Kenny quickly interjected, "I didn't want to do anything because I knew we'd both regret it anyway,"

"Relax man, I'm not judging or saying that," JJ easily replied, "Honestly after hearing everything that happened between her, Nicole, and Eric, I get it. I tried to talk some sense into Eric too, hopefully, got something through his head and now, I just want to help Anna feel better. I can tell she's hurting hard,"

"You don't even know the half of it...it's good though," Kenny said with a half-smile before looking back up to a confused JJ, "Not that she's hurting!" Kenny quickly clarified, "That you're helping her, I can tell it's working,"

JJ let out a small shrug and chuckled, "I'm just doing what I can for her, you know? I think I finally get what Brian was saying the other night, shit has gone off the rails this trip and we need to try and get back on course,"

"Couldn't agree more, I'm done with the drama, I'm with Zoey now and that's it," Kenny firmly agreed, "The rest of this shit I could care less about," Kenny finished as he grabbed four glasses and began to fill them up with the drinks,

"Heh, good for you man," JJ lightly laughed as he pressed the power on the popcorn maker.

Meanwhile, in the living room, Anna and Zoey stood in front of the large movie selection on the living room wall, trying to decide what to watch next. "Action and horror are out, right?" Zoey asked with a hopeful tone,

"Absolutely, I don't want to cringe or get scared today," Anna vehemently agreed with the girl,

Zoey smiled as she continued to look through the hundreds of movies with the blonde. In a million years, Zoey couldn't have imagined that she'd end up watching movies with the girl who stole her first boyfriend but right now, it didn't seem to matter. The redhead couldn't help but relate with Anna's plight and how they were both screwed over by someone they were meant to trust. It was like a bond, and Zoey was okay with that, hell, she almost felt happy to have another person here she felt very close with. Still, with the way Anna was being so close to Kenny since Eric and Nicole's act of adultery, Zoey felt pushed to say something about the teen.

"Um...Anna, I'm not trying to say this in a bitchy..." back off from my man" way, but Kenny and I are a thing now," Zoey explained while nibbling her lower lip awkwardly, "I don't want you to think that I'm saying that you can't talk to him or anything, or that I think you'd steal him. I just want you to know that he's...no longer available if that makes sense,"

"I figured as much," Anna calmly replied with a small smile, "I'm not going to lie, you are very lucky, I see that now. If I wasn't so foolish, I could have seen that in Kenny a long time ago, but I didn't. You two deserve each other and all the happiness that comes along with it,"

"Thank you," Zoey smiled back, "I understand that he was helping you through things, so if you-"

Anna shook her head silently cutting the redhead off, "He was a safe space for me last night, and this morning, I'll always be grateful to him for that but I'm not going to let Nicole and Eric keep me in that state. He's your boyfriend now Zoey, so I'm going to treat him that way, I'm not cozying up to him and not running to him to take solace in." Anna stated with a bit of confidence, "I can do this on my own, I can be strong because I have nothing to regret and feel ashamed about,"

"You're exactly right, you did nothing wrong," Zoey wholly agreed, "Though it seems like...you and JJ might be-" Zoey began to say causing the blonde girl to look back at her with wide eyes and blushing cheeks, "Never mind me, I'm just babbling," Zoey swiftly said dropping her thought, "Here, want to watch this one?" The redhead asked pulling out a nostalgic movie from her childhood, "I know it's more aimed to kids, but it always makes me laugh,"

"I loved watching this with Nikki when we were kids," Anna smiled, "Totally, let's watch this one," The blonde agreed while taking the movie from the redhead and heading over to the DVD player.

Just as the movie began to load up on the tv JJ and Kenny returned, "Ladies, drinks, and snacks courteous of myself and my buddy behind me," JJ smiled as he sat a large bowl of popcorn on the coffee table in front of the couch.

"Thank you," Zoey and Anna sweetly replied taking their drinks from Kenny before the four found their seats on the couch. Kenny and JJ both sat on either end while Zoey and Anna took the center of the sofa, sitting closer to each of the two men respectively.
