Check on Delphi.

You leave Alice to her own room as you make your way around the manor in hopes of finding Yin. You call out her name. Almost immediately, she appears in front of you in a cloud of smoke, causing you to ****.

"Oh no. I'm so sorry, Master," Yin says nervously. She begins to blow air all around her in a futile attempt to get rid of the smoke.

"It's fine." You laugh. "Calm down. Can you take me to Delphi's room?"

"Right away. Follow me."

She leads you down the hall to one of the doorways and gestures a hand towards it. "I'll find Snow in the meantime. That is where I was previously headed."

"Of course. Thank you."

With that, you knock on the door and await an answer.

"Yes?" Delphi's voice responds. "Come in~!"

You turn the knob and step inside, shutting it softly behind you. It's difficult to find where where such a small person could be in a room far too big for her, but eventually you spot the pixie standing on the top of the dresser across the room.

She wraps her arms around her chest and screams in terror. "I'm changing!"

Quickly, you avert your eyes. "You said to come in!"

Your response is frantic giggling. When you look back, you can see that she's still fully clothed. "You're too fun to mess with, Kyle. Well, I welcome you to my room! It's certainly different than the forest."

You lean against the wall nearby. "What if someone heard you? You're gonna get me in even more trouble."

"Relax. These walls are so solid that you could have me screaming and the other girls wouldn't know."

"All right. Let's be real. Who exactly is this witch that experimented on you, and what does that mean? You'll be living here, so I feel like you should share a bit more about that."

She hangs her legs off the edge of the dresser. "Oh please. Do you know the whole story of everyone here? Did you even know Amara's mother was out there doing what she's doing?"

"Well, no. But I--"

"You think those girls are cute, right?"

"I do."

"And you've messed around with some of them."

"I can neither confirm nor deny."

"How about you get to know them a bit more?"

"I figure they'd share when they were ready."

"And yet here we are. Why are you interrogating me then, hm?"

She has a point I guess, but she sure got frustrated quickly. I forgot how hard things must have been for her.

You pause for a moment. "Sorry, Delphi. I didn't mean it like that. Look. You don't have to tell me, but I'll tell you my biggest secret, only if you promise to believe me."

She runs a hand back through her hair. "I'm sorry too. I admit I got a little defensive... What is this secret?"

"Niki, Amara, Eva, and more recently Alice, know this already, but I'm actually not from around here. Not even close. I still don't know how or why, but I come from another world entirely. One without magic, but the technology is much more advanced. Worlds like this one exist in fairy tales."

Delphi looks you over. The room falls silent. She crosses one leg over the other, pondering to herself, before she finally speaks again. "I don't know why you'd lie to me, Kyle. This world of ours is pretty wacky. Something like that sounds almost reasonable. Well, damn. I know what I just said, but after that, I think I'm willing to tell you at least a bit of my story."
