Her pants got caught on the seat.

Erica closed her eyes and dozed off, knowing her family would wake her up when they had to start boarding. The seats were not very comfortable, so she adjusted herself to find a position she could rest comfortably in. She thought she felt a tug on her pants just before she finally got comfortable, but figured it was because she was shifting her hips around. She was on the verge of unconsciousness when somebody shook her shoulder.

"Erica, we're boarding now. Wake up," her mother said calmly.

As she went to stand up, she felt something pull her back into the seat. She tried getting up again, but the same thing happened.

"Erica, we're leaving!" her father called from the counter. He and the others were going to get on the plane without her!

"WAIT!" she called out. "My pants are stuck!"

Her step brother, Rob, came over to her, grinning widely. She wasn't sure if it was because of her predicament or because he caused it.

"Just take them off," he said.

"I can't get on a plane without any pants on!"

"It's fine, your shirt looks long enough to cover you."

"Come on, or we're leaving without you!" her mom said.

"Better act quick. Though I could try to pull you up, I'm not sure that would be any better," Rob explained.

There was no time to lose. She had to get on that plane!
