You Look Around

Everyone here seems to be having a great time, laughing and flirting and dancing. You scan the room for familiar faces, but you don’t see anyone you recognize. You spot your girlfriend through the doorway to the kitchen grabbing those drinks, she’s talking to a few girls so she clearly knows at least some people here.

Watching her chatting and giggling with those girls makes you smile, Paige really lights up a room when she’s having a good time. She finishes pouring your drinks and whispers something to them before walking back to find you. The three girls - a vampire, candy striper, and a cop - all exchange mischievous looks before parting ways and disappearing into the crowd.

Paige hands you a red solo cup but before you can take a drink, she grabs the ruffles on your pirate shirt, pulling you in for a kiss. Her lips are soft as they press against yours, she gently parts them to deepen the kiss, the warmth of her tongue greeting yours. You almost forget you’re in the middle of a crowded room as she continues to kiss you, her hand still pulling you close. She playfully bites your bottom lip before finally pulling away, smiling as she takes a drink.

"I just told those girls that I gave you a hall pass tonight" she says calmly, watching for your reaction then adding "I told them I have one too."
