Prepare for the journey.

Theoretically, it should take four days to reach the cave, and then four more days to arrive safely at the capital of the Empire of Tivera, which is the grand city of Tolis. That's accounting for slower movement through the forest, and needing to leave the main road for some time. Thankfully, you will be able to remain on the road between Tolis and Avana for the majority of the trip, which will greatly reduce the chance of monster encounters. Though once you leave and head towards the Cackling Woods, there's no telling what you'll need to face.

There's no time like the present. The longer you wait, the higher the chance more threats will be sent your way.

After gathering your supplies--enough to survive the trip and to travel to the big city--you reach the most complicated decision. The amulet they're after is in your possession. If you leave it behind, it could easily be stolen. Though if you bring it with you and fail, you've brought them what they seek straight to their doorstep.

"I believe there is only one course of action," Amara says. "If we were to leave it behind, not only could it be taken while we are gone, but it would put Yin in danger. We must take the risk and bring it with us. Even if we fall and they are able to take it, it would be no different than leaving it behind, falling, and them coming to take it from our home, and therefore, Yin."

Damn. She's right. I guess we'll put an even bigger target on our back then. And I don't trust any of these girls to hold it.

You place it into your backpack begrudgingly.

"You are as brave as always," Amara says with a bow of her head.

It feels like your last adventure wasn't long ago, but once again, the world has **** your hand. Such a close threat can't be tolerated. In order to sleep safely again, you must venture out through the Cackling Woods and to a cavern filled with those that serve an unknown demon king, and hopefully said master won't discover it was you.

Your party of five departs from Avana, once again taking advantage of a caravan travelling between the cities. You'll be able to enjoy the luxury for a few days at least before it's back to your feet.
