Intermission: Silver Watch

Henry smashed his head against the wall. He and Moonie had not been in this Apartment long, they had to move from the last one because of the many, inch deep holes from where He had smashed is head into the brick.

Sometimes He wondered, what it was like for other people who suffered his Kind of psychosis, were they even any people, let alone Vampires, that suffered as He did?

Were they like depressed Humans, hurting themselves just to feel, or maybe like manic schizophrenics, with a storm of insanity enrapturing the mind, either way, Henry knew that none really, functioned as He did, You see, Henry did not bash his brains into the ceramic because He hated himself: He loved himself.

Nor was it out of aggression, fear or anxiety, Henry simply collided his head with the hard surface, sending heavy, echoing thumbs through the apartment buildings walls, because He thought that it might help him regain some sense of just who, what and why things were currently happening, that this might kickstart his thoughts back into their normal rhythm

"Huginn? Huginn!?" He heard Her cry, She ran over to him, pulling him away from the wall with Her beastly strength, Her storm grey eyes, The match of his own, staring with worry and a hint of annoyance

"Oh!" Henry said, looking at his sister with a smile "Hey Moana, what's the matter?" Her asked casual, unaware of the bruised, bleeding area on his forehead, trickling with blood, Ramona shook with worry

"What the fuck are You doing this again, for!?" She said, clutching him in Her arms, "Jesus Christ, have You lost Your stopwatch again!?" She cried, pushing him back and searching his pockets, He tilted his head curiously, licking his lips and twirling his eyes around, If He tried hard enough, then maybe He could look like a lizard

"OOOOOOH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE, OOOOOOH LIZARD ON A CHAIR, hehe wow what a lovely day!" Henry exclaimed, looking out of the apartment window and into the pitch-black midnight, Ramona frowned, slapping his face quickly and harshly

"No, snap out of it Hughie, Where the Hell is that damn stopwatch!?" She yelled, picking him up easily and placing his now shaking body on the couch

"Wowi, So soft, can I nuzzie wuzzi into this couchie wouchie sissy!?" He yelled manically, burying his head into the cushions and wailing, Romona's eyes began to well with tears

"S-Stop Hughie... just please, listen to me, we need to find Your Watch, Huginn listen to me-" But she did not get to finish her sentence, Henry bolted upright, his eyes becoming lucid

"Huginn?" He said, his voice deep and serious "That isn't my name." He said, touching his chest and then cupping his crying sisters face in his hand "Muninn isn't Your name... You're my little Ramona, yes... Henry and Romana Ried, that is our names, right?" He asked, a childish innocence in his eyes, Ramona nodded, Her beautiful golden silk hair swaying as she did

"Yeah... that's right... Henry... that's Our names, but We keep our names to ourselves, We are undead, and Undead take Undead Names... our real names are private, remember?" She asked, But Henry's eyes had already glazed over, his teeth vore and his claws out as He stood.

Henry flew into a Rage, Wrecking everything in sight, His sister trying and failing to stop him as He tore all the furniture apart, He wailed and screeched "THE CAKE IS A LIE, THE CAKE IS A LIE!" as He wreaked all He could get his hands-on, However, his sister had stopped helping him now, She instead cast Her attention to the ground where the now overturned couch had once been, for there she had found a shiny, engraved watch.

Ramona snatched it up from the ground, flicking it open and bolting to her brother, who still wailed nonsense "GRIFFITH DID NOTHING WRONG, GRIFFITH DID NOTHING WROOOOONG!"

Wrapping her legs around him, and catching Her brother in a tight headlock, Ramona shoved the open Watch in front of his face, making her Monster of a Brother freeze in place and begin to wordlessly to himself as His eyes dilated "That's it... that's it, Henry... 60 seconds in a Minute, 60 Minutes in an Hour, 24 hours in a Day, 365 Days in a Year..." She started for him until Henry began to whisper quietly

"10 years in a decade, 100 years in a century..." He whispered, his voice becoming clearer and more refined.

Huginn blinked, Why was everything such a mess, and why was Muninn holding onto him "Ew Sis get off!" He moaned, pushing Muninn away and shuddering, "what the Hell is wrong with You, You were one Centimeter away from a family strokes episode!" Huginn complained, But Muninn just smiled her warm smiled at Her brother, holding out his stopwatch to him.

Huginn frowned, recognizing just what must have happened "Ah... shit." Huginn said, taking his watch "I lost it again, how bad was the outburst this time, it's probably nothing, How bad could it be?" He asked Muninn folded her arms

"Open Your Eyes, Maybe you'll see?" She said, Huginn looked at the holes in the walls, saw the torn furniture, scratching his head nervously he chuckled

"Hey, that rhymed!" He said, but Muninn didn't seem all that impressed

"Now we are gonna have to move again, for god's sake if You just kept a tighter hold on that thing then we wouldn't have to worry!" Muninn said... only, she was interrupted by the sudden bashing down of the door.

with a hideous crack, the apartment's front door flew off its hinges, three familiar men striding in, all of which the twins recognized. The two smaller men, where Cassius and Barney, two relatively weak former Gerix, now Noxium, who needed their buddy to defend them, that very buddy being the third man, Rudolf, a tall but chubby Harkin, with a bald head and dark eyes, all of them were victims of Lord' Nox's wrath Huginn noted, smiling deeply as they all walked in with prideful faces.

"Well well, just as I thought, the Raven's." Said Cassius, pushing his greasy black hair away from his face

"Aren't You afraid to cause Lord Nox trouble, little birdies, making all of that noise we could hear You from the Eastside!" Said Barney, his sickly blue eyes looking Muninn up and down. Muninn did not speak, she did not like to converse with those who had sided with Umbra, but Huginn was more than happy to oblige

"Hey, boys... such a lovely night isn't it!?" He said, arms held wide in welcome, all three scowled at him "What can this humble bird do for You, are You lost Barney? need a shower, Cassius, oh no I've got it, Rudy wants a slab of meat to nibble on, YES that has to be it!?" Huginn said, making the two frowned deeply, and Rudolf growl, his thick claws extended from his taloned hands as his eyes glowed crimson.

"We wanted to make our stance clear in Lord Nox's new rule, Bird," Barney said

"You two were the top with that weasel Corvus, But you and Your slut sister won't be now, or Rudolf will have something to say about it!" Cassius laughed, Muninn didn't say anything as his eyes surveyed her again, Rudolf grinned a toothy smile, crackling his knuckles at them both but Huginn's face darkened.

He was about ready to knock the granny out of them, before he felt a soft hand grasp his shoulder "We don't attack unprovoked, Hughie." Muninn said, her words helping soften the writhing madness in his mind, He nodded, not giving the group another glance as He whispered

"I-If you could just skedaddle then that would be great, don't worry about the door, I'll fix it later, good evening gents," Huginn said, turning to walk towards his sister with a smile.

"Pussy Bird, quitting before even ahead!" Rudolf finally spoke in his thick German accent... Huginn paused, face falling as He heard and felt Rudolf shoot spit at the back of his head, colliding with his pride and joy; his hair. Muninn frowned, giving him a silent nod.

"This mustn't register on an emotional level. first, distract target. then block his blind jab, Counter with cross to left cheek. Discombobulate. dazed. will attempt wild haymaker Employ elbow block, and body shot. Block feral left, weaken right jaw, now fracture. Break cracked ribs. Traumatise solar plexus. dislocate jaw entirely. heel kick to diaphragm.
In summary: ear ringing, jaw fractured, 3 ribs cracked, 4 broken, diaphragm haemorrhaging, physical recovery 6 weeks... full psychological recovery, 6 Months.
Capacity to spit at back of head: Neutralized."

Huginn turned back to the large man, His eyes burning as He replayed the Plan in his mind. Rudolf looked ready to fight, He was so focused on Huginn that He was not prepared for the Splintered bit of coffee table that Huginn tossed at his face "distract target." Rudolf went to toss a lazy punch at Huginn, easily blocked without effort "then block his blind jab" Huginn Fired a hard quick hard blow to his cheek which cracked bone with ease "Counter with cross to left cheek." Huginn tensed his arms tightly, as each palm collided into each of Rudolf's ears, sending a shattering pain through the giant vampire's skull "Discombobulate."

Rudolf tossed another much heavier blow to Huginn, which Huginn threw off with his elbow, and countered with a heavy blow to the Ribs "will attempt wild haymaker Employ elbow block, and body shot." Rudolf threw one more off-balanced and panicked left punch, another shot easily blocked and countered with a wide but shattering blow to the jaw, "Block feral left, weaken right jaw, now fracture." and that He did, smashing a much heavier elbow wrecking ball to his ugly face, making his face crack unnaturally, Huginn send an efficient fist into Rudolf's already split ribs "Break cracked ribs." followed by yet another rounded smash into the centre of his stomach "Traumatise solar plexus." with one colossal sweep of his arm and a cold, hissing roar, Huginn swept his fist around Rudolfs' ruined face "dislocate jaw entirely." Finally, Huginn swept back and with the iron fury of the old gods burning in his mind, Huginn sunk a powerful foot into Rudolf, sending his large body flying out of the very door that He had broken down "heel kick to diaphragm."

Huginn straightened himself out, eyes burning, wiping the spittle from his blonde hair with disgust. Muninn and the other's looked at Rudolf, then him, then Rudolf then back at him again, it was about then that Cassius and Barney looked at one another... and bolted, Barney, grabbing Rudolf's heavy form by the shoulders and drag him off without another word.

Huginn smiled, pulling out his stopwatch and grinning "75 Seconds, that's got to be a record." He said as Munin walked over, leaning on his shoulder

"Where the Hell did You learn that one, don't let it get to Your head but damn that was Badass Bro!" Muninn said with a laugh, but Hugunn shrugged, tucking his Stopwatch away and simply saying

"That... was elementary Dear Watson"
