What's next?
Gaia Daughter rides the roller coaster.
The travelling heroine wouldn't turn down the hospitality. Not bothering to apologize to the demons waiting in line, she cut through to the VIP access gate. She noted a sign which showed a cartoon drawing of Fishfreak holding a sign that stated "MORtals must be THIS tall to RIDE"
?!
The heroine rubbed her eyes. Had she been mistaken? The creature holding the sign was not a depiction of her enemy, but a humanoid crocodile. The text was simply "YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE." Was her hunt for her target beginning to wear her down? The heroine resolved to enjoy a nice, long sleep after this adventure...
In any case, even without transforming, Gaia Daughter was easily tall enough to clear the arrow the crocodile held and make her way to the coaster. She now noticed that this part was gated off from the rest of the line, forcing her to take the car up front. The design of the roller coaster was like a smiling swordfish... although its sword nose was thick and rounded, making it look like a pretty sloppy recreation.
In a hurry, she made her way into the single seat, but something didn't sit right with her. The strange hallucination she'd had a moment ago... the way this park seemed to consist of depictions of fish randomly slapped together... Gaia Daughter recognized some devilry at work. The... "theme" of this theme park... seemed to be the very woman she'd come to apprehend. Why would that be?
In any case, she was concerned, but certainly not afraid. Even this far from Earth, the heroine could feel her Mother's protection. At any time, she could call upon her to gain the size and strength she needed.
She was snapped from her thoughts as the roller coaster began to pick up speed, moving along the tail-like a track. Actually, as she observed more carefully, the tail itself was moving as well... it was difficult to tell which parts of the movement belonged to what element. Nonetheless, she could tell all the alien beings behind her were excited. She herself sat stone-faced, her black hair whipping in the air as she allowed her sunhat to fly off without a care. The mechanism of the tail worked with remarkable precision, sending the swordfish zipping towards fabric canopies, then dipping away at the last second.
The visitor didn't have time to be impressed. She wondered how long it would take to get where she was going... Also, perhaps of greater concern, why she was being sent there with a giggling gaggle of aliens in tow?
