To the market, for supplies.

As they left the guildhall Druuna retrieved six hundred caps from her pack and handed them to Janette with a smile. Janette looked at the money suspiciously and asked “Wh-what’s all this for?” Druuna smiled and replied “That’s for you to buy some supplies with. The market should still be open and we’re going to stock up.” Janette shook her head and tried to give the money back to Druuna “I-I can’t take this. I don’t need any charity.” Druuna frowned and patted Janette’s shoulder “It’s not charity. You’ll be nothing but a burden to me without proper equipment. Just take the money and quit being so damn stubborn.” Janette frowned and grudgingly took the money from Druuna “Oh, alright.”

When they arrived at the market they split up and looked for what they each thought they would need. Druuna quickly located a decent sized clothing stand and bought a couple of leather belts, a pair of good hiking boots, an extra low cut white shirt, an extra pair of khaki shorts and some socks from the elderly merchant for four hundred and twenty caps. She then found a survival stand and bought herself a medical kit, some rations and a small compass for two hundred and thirty-six bottle caps. With her purchases complete, Druuna went back to the market entrance and found Janette with all of her own purchases finished as well. Janette had bought an extra set of clothes, a canteen, a backpack, some rations and a Swiss army knife for four hundred and seventy-nine caps. When she met up with Druuna she gave what was left of the money back to Druuna. Druuna counted up her caps and found she still had four thousand two hundred and eighteen bottle caps left.

It was getting late and there’d be no use setting of for anywhere tonight, so Druuna decided to turn in. Of course Janette lived at the guildhall, but the two girls didn’t have to part company for the night…
