Chapter 11

How do they figure this one out?
Sean offers to make a wi... magical request.
Slowly, but surely the dots started connecting. Jessica made sure that Sean's face was okay and they sat talking as more and more students started showing up for school. Relieved that Sean had held up his end of the bargain, and figuring that her orgasm block was just some sort of stressor from all that had happened, they had agreed to meet up later to talk about it.
Tonight was the homecoming game, and they both had in-school activities related to the big events for the evening, so there would be little 'alone time' to talk about it until later tonight.
The school day had progressed much to the plan as it had been laid out. Sean had a meeting with Coach Jeffries about the game tonight right before lunch, and Jessica was finishing up the final cheer for the pep rally tonight.
It was just before his meeting with the coach that Sean got his epiphany. He was sitting in the chairs outside the coach's office and it hit him: maybe he could wish an orgasm into Jess. Not without her consent, of course, but he could at least offer it. As scared of the ring as they both were, maybe it didn't occur to them until now. He pulled out his phone quick and thought of a way to word his idea without sounding creepy, or anything.
Just before the door to the coach's office opened up, Sean had typed and hit send on his text message.
After last week's miracle recovery, Sean had been working out ten times harder. Chris Koleman and Greg Hartfurd had been mildly injured during the game. Both had sprained knees. His meeting with the head coach, Tim Jefferies, and all the assistants, had yielded him as their next pick for starting defensive end. There was another kid who had been pulled from special teams on the play Sean had scored the winning touchdown, but he was a bit of a slacker. He had been practicing all week long, training harder than he had in his eighteen years on this planet, but was progressing nicely.
As the coach welcomed the large young man into his office, Coach Jefferies asked him to sit down. Sean had figured it was to cover some strategy for the game tonight, until the coach spoke, "Hey there Mr. McNamara. How is your day going?"
Sean could tell the coach was about to give him some bad news. Something in his gut and Coach's tone of voice told him so, "It's been good coach. Brad said you wanted to see me. Is everything OK? I thought drills have been going pretty well this week."
The coach looked at Sean and nodded, "Yeah! You've done everything we could have asked you too this week while Chris and Greg were healing up." The large older man sighed, "There is no easy way to tell you this Sean, but both Chris and Greg just turned in doctor's notes to inform us that they are both able to play tonight.
And there it was. The kick to the gut, "Ah..." Sean nodded, "So it's back to the third string for me tonight... am I right?"
The coach nodded and looked him in the eye. "Listen, I know you had your heart set on starting tonight, but these guys have worked out on the team all summer long and they just fit in with the plan a bit better than you do. To be honest, I know it's not easy, it just sucks being the new kid." Sean chuckled and nodded, the coach's voice was not mocking, but genuine and it seemed like he hated giving this bad news.
Sean responded, "I get it coach. This is a team game and I am definitely a team player. As long as I still get to suit up tonight." The young man sighed, having his dream of playing in the homecoming game evaporated before his eyes was not going to be a good addition to his day.
And for the icing on the cake, when he was sitting in a stall in the bathroom before heading to lunch, he heard both Chris and Greg talking where they didn't think anyone could hear them, "So, did he accept your fake note too?"
Chris had failed to check the stalls before replying, "Yeah. There's no way I'm going to miss those scouts tonight."
Chris chuckled, "Damn right. My knee feels fine. Tonight is the last game of the year, and I'm not gonna let some new kid steal the spotlight because he knows how to fall on a football."
Sean fumed and felt the ring on his finger. It was as if even the ring was taunting him. He could just make a wish. The words were right there on his tongue as the two cheating assholes laughed and walked out of the room. He shook his head and steeled his resolve.
"Not like this," he said to himself in the empty bathroom's mirror. He washed his hands and went to go get some food.
How has Jessica's day been going?
