Scope out the hills.

Your party sneaks up through the hills in search of Chila's family, but you're rather nervous about what was said. You've never experienced what devils actually are in this world, but they can't be good. You eventually reach the place you were last time--a nest on the edge of a cliff, and a boulder not far away, which is where you hid. However, you continue onwards this time.

You pass another nest, but continue. Finally, around the bend, you gaze down a path leading to the edge of another cliff. Near that next, you spot the two other harpies, as well as something more. Two short, bright red figured with horns, pointed tails, and wings are in combat with them, and look to be on the winning side. The harpies are cut, burned, and bruised, but that's not the worst part. There's a third figure there that's taller than the rest. Unlike the others, he looks more humanoid, and rocks a wide bare chest, and a pair of pitch black trousers. In his hand, a giant pitchfork roaring with fire. His horns extend far out from his forehead as well, and the end of his tail looks as sharp as a dagger.

"N-No..." Chila mumbles.

Niki places her down and draws her weapon. The party readies itself.

"So, what should I know about devils?" you ask beneath your breath.

Eva taps her chin. "Uhm. Don't use fire, I guess?"

"Cool. The only offensive spell I know."

Chila suddenly scrambles forwards. She places her hand against the hillside, and calls out to her sisters. It's still not much louder than a regular speaking voice, but it's enough to steal the attention of the devils, and their piercing gazes fall upon you.

"Chini!" It causes the pink-haired one to look over. "Chula!" The other glances over as well.

It's Chula that speaks up first, with terror in her eyes. She's the one with neck-length black hair, what amounts to a black bikini top, matching booty shorts, and was the one tickle-torturing Niki before. "I told you to fly away!"

The other, with pink feathers, a white top over her large breasts, and blue shorts, looks to your party with teary eyes. Her outfit is still damaged from the previous encounter.

A burst of flames fires out from the tall devil's flared nostrils. "And who, pray tell, are you? Don't dare get in our way." His voice is gravely, deep, and commanding.

Damn it. This is the worst!

"This adventure just got even more exciting," Niki says with a sneer and steps up to fight. She bashes her mace against the buckler, drowning the area with a metallic clanging--a bell, to start the round. "I've never fought a devil before. That's what you are, right?"

"That's right," he responds. As she slams the pummel of the shaft into the ground, the grass around it burns to a crisp. "You'll regret knowing nothing of the foes you battle. If you knew the might of Flame General Ithic. I won't even need my imps to rend you to a bloody pulp."
