Destiny gets a phone call

Destiny had an all day meeting at work, meaning Destiny incarnate had an all day meeting at work. 8 full hours David had to endure with Destiny in his mouth. This was what he had to look forward to...

Destiny had just plopped out of his mouth after getting home from work, and he was just about to change out of Sarah’s clothes and into some of his own when his phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Hey umm...is this David...?” The person on the phone asked.

“It is. Who is this?”

“This is Chuck. Could I speak to Destiny please?”

“Oh! Ah...” David moved the phone away from himself to utter “damn!” And then brought the phone back to his face, “yeah, just a moment.”

“Destiny...it’s for you...” David said, “what do I do? Just hold the phone next to you? Put it on speaker-“ David was interrupted by Destiny shooting back into his mouth, and bringing the phone to his ear

“Chuck?”

“Yeah! Destiny?”

“You reached me!”

“Great! I know that you said you had a fiancé, and I totally respect that. I just haven’t been able to get you out of my head. I just have to see you again.”

“That thing about having a fiancé...forget all that, I’m unattached.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.”

“Don’t be! I finally get to be my own person.”

David grimaced at this, because it looked like she was taking every opportunity to be just that.

“Great! I’m happy to hear that! So when would you like to get together?”

“When’s good for you?”

“Honestly the sooner the better. Ideally now.”

“Then let’s do that then.”

David choked again at this suggestion, was he really going to have to spend the entire DAY like this?

“Really?!” Chuck asked.

“Yeah! Let’s do it. Why does now not work for you?”

“No, now is better than perfect. Do you have a car or should I meet you somewhere?”

“I have a car. I’ll pick you up. I can’t risk you riding around and meeting another guy.”

“What kind of girl do you think I am?”

“A guy magnet.”

“Nonsense. Tonight I’m all yours”

“Happy to hear that. I’ll pick you up in thirty minutes.”
