Spot something in the sky.

Over half of the day passes you by. Even frequent rests aren't enough to keep away the aches that come from so much physical activity. It isn't just you either. The girls are looking exhausted too, even Niki. You're glad that you should be arriving at your destination not long after tonight's sleep. Though hopefully, said sleep won't be interrupted again.

You look to see Amara gazing upwards.

"Something is there," she says.

You squint to see what her keen vision can make out. There are three silhouettes, masked by the sun's powerful rays. They just look like birds.

"Vultures?" you ask.

"No. They do not quite look like any kind of bird to me."

"Your eyes are super good," Eva says. "I can barely tell too."

What is she talking about? Huh. They do seem to be getting closer. Maybe I'll be able to make them out soon. Hopefully they aren't gigantic **** eagles or something. Not unless they're the kind of giant birds that offer rides.

As they descend, you all start to notice what Amara was onto. They aren't birds at all. They have humanoid forms, though are still winged, and they're swooping down towards the group at a speed so high that they're nothing but blurs.

You draw your sword as fast as you can. "Are we under attack?"

"Looks like it!" Niki goes to reach for her weapon, but it's too late.

You get a good look at the three of them as they arrive. Though they share many characteristics with humans, their arms become the wings, and don't appear to have any hands because of it. Starting at their knees, their legs become that of a bird's, including talon-like feet. The rest of them, however, is the figure of a beautiful woman.

One grabs Niki by the arms with her talons. She has neck-length black hair, a black top that's no larger than a bikini, and matching booty shorts. Her feathers are the same, like a raven. She lifts off with the warrior in her grip, and there's little she can do. Your ally is brought up into the air.

Another latches her talons onto Eva. This one has deep purple feathers and hair, and wears a similar styled garb. Though, her top is a strip of fabric wrapping around her torso like a tube top, and her shorts are cut up the sides, showing off her hips. She's both shorter and flatter, with hair that's tied back with a white ribbon.

"Shit!" You run to Amara with your sword ready, but they're too fast.

Amara is caught next by a girl with long pink hair and matching feathers. Her garb, which is most similar to the first's, is coloured differently. Her top is white while her shorts are blue. Though, her top struggles more to contain a hefty chest, with her's the largest of the three. The sliding scale of size would be amusing if your friends weren't actively being kidnapped.

You sprint in the direction they're flying. It's off to the side, towards the hills. There's little you can do but continue onwards and hope they stop before you lose track of them.
