You are back

You walked to your doorstep awkwardly because you were wearing the overall and the tube bra. You tried to think about what excuses to give if your sister asked about the T-shirt which was still in your bag.

You opened the door and you saw your mum and your sister is sitting at the dining table.

“Hey Alex!” Your sister said excitedly.

“Have you eaten dinner yet?”

“Yes mum, I ate some tacos on the way back.”

“Come here son, sit down, we need to talk.”

You sat opposite your sister at the dining table.

“I understand from your sister that you’re wearing her clothes for work. Because that makes you feel more comfortable working in that kind of places, and I could see you’re wearing a tube bra to go along with the overall. It looks cute, but do you think it is somewhat inappropriate for someone like you?”

“It is inappropriate. But I get different attitude from customers when I’m wearing this while working in La Senza versus wearing jeans and shirt in La Senza. Customer treated me differently with a more feminine oriented outfit. My boss suggested I should consider wearing light make up to go with the outfit.”

“So what was your reply? Have you tried applying make-up?”

“I told my boss that I’m not really keen on the idea of applying powder and lipstick on my face.”

“Alex, looking at you like this, I’m on the fence if I should raise you like how I raised Allison, as a girl, at least until the internship is over. You could say you’re Allison cousin who came here for internship and Alex is out in another state for an internship.” Mum said.

“I think that’s a great idea! We can call you Ally, Alexis or Alanna!” Allison exclaimed excitedly.

“Son, what do you think?” Your Mum looked at you and asked.
