Chapter 31 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Go to sleep.

The room you're in is rather small. It only has enough room for a bed, a desk with a chair, and hardly any space to move in between. It smells, it's a little bit too cold, and the bed is the least comfortable you've ever slept on. That being said, it's a place to stay, and your stomach is happy. Ultimately, the day was a success. You were also thankfully not kicked out due to any of your party's antics.

You start to wonder though why it is you're here. There's also the class thing Amara mentioned. She said that you should be able to simply look within yourself to know, just as a caster knows their own spells, or their currently available mana. You have no idea what she's talking about, but you start to focus your mind, and try your best to find your own answer.

Apparently, they have levels as well. It's a measure of one's own power growth, and progress through their class. Amara's class is cleric, so it's exactly what you expected, and she's 3rd level. Niki is a 4th level warrior, and your mage, Eva, is 3rd level too. No surprises there, but it's all so gamey. You can't imagine a real world functioning with actual mechanics like that.

Deep within yourself that night, you find that answer... sort of.

Kyle Warren
Class: ???
Level: 2

There isn't much else you can gauge, other than that one spell with your sword you learned earlier. You also seem to have some innate talent with a blade as well--some kind of fighting style you didn't know previously.

Do I not have a class? Maybe it's best to lie for now, if they even do ask me again. I should figure out what kind of classes exist, and just introduce myself as one if anyone needs to know, just in case something weird is going on. Or maybe it's some kind of special class, like Hero! Oh, and I should probably not bring up that I'm a lower level than everyone else.

Either way, you eventually fall asleep. The chaos of the day tuckered you out at least.

Author's Note: If you haven't clicked "Start Game", you've already probably noticed some strange results, but things are going to look more odd as the story progresses, and more of your decisions change parts of the story. Feel free to read without playing it as a game of course, but just note that it'll look a bit strange, with a lot of duplicate pages that are slightly different.
