Chapter 14 by grimbous grimbous

What's next?

Practically Family

A side thread from the main Quarantine thread is a TERRIBLE idea as it will only scatter my attention and make both extra slow...but when have I ever rejected an idea just because it is terrible. This will be a short side story about what the other Bailey's are up to. I'm honestly not sure how often I'll add to it or how far I'll get into it but it should be fun in the meantime. Also, expect some ****/dubcon content. Fiona's become a bit unhinged in this thread, more than usual that is. As always hit the like if you like this side thread idea, it is the only way I have to know what's popular and what's not.

***

Fiona drives back from Peg's lab her knuckles white as she gripped her steering wheel with all of her great strength.

Her brother and sister had tested positive for the illness that was claiming lives all over the world. Jesse and Elsie were in danger...and there wasn't a fucking thing she could do about it. She couldn't protect them from this. She couldn't control this. She couldn't do anything but go home and do nothing as the pandemic made her and her family it's bitch. This was bigger than her...and Fiona hated that. With social distancing and closures she couldn't go to the club to work out some of her energy.

She slams her palm into the wheel with impotent rage. "RAHHH!"

When she gets home she hurries to her room without even acknowledging her mother or Chloe, who was now staying with them so she didn't have to stay in her apartment all alone. Once in her room Fiona paces back and forth, fists clenched, and tries desperately to think of something...ANYTHING...she could do to protect her family.

"Fuckin stupid fuckin virus mother fucker." She hisses as she nearly wears a whole though the floor with her frantic pacing. Stopping all at once, fists shaking in pent up fury, she says to nobody in particular. "If anything happens to them...I swear to fucking God..." With nothing to threaten or direct her violent energy toward she just resorts to letting out a primal howl. "RRRAAAAWWWWW!!!" Grabbing the first thing she could reach, her alarm clock, she hurls it with all of her strength obliterating it against her bedroom wall and leaving hole where it impacted.

While Helen had heard that even she knew enough to leave Fiona alone right now.

It wasn't until hours later, all of it spent listening to house-shaking ear-splitting heavy metal music, that Fiona was at last calm enough to face the others once again. Opening her door slowly she takes in a long calming breath then lets it out in just as slowly. She knew she was on a hair trigger but she refused to hide in her room and sulk about the situation. This fucking disease wasn't going to conquer her.

Coming downstairs she finds Chloe in the living room dancing by herself. "Hey Cuz." Chloe grins at her brooding cousin. "We cleaned the place up. Scrubbed everything. Surfaces should be safe." Indeed the air was thick with the smell of cleaning product.

Fiona stares at Chloe still buzzing with barely contained energy. "Chloe." She says in a low voice, her hazel eyes alight.

"Yeah?" Chloe replies cautiously as she stops dancing.

"Come here."

Chloe hesitates, she could sense Fiona was on edge, but approaches her tall cousin. Looking up at Fiona more than a little scared she peeps. "Yeah?"

Fiona grabs Chloe and pulls her into the hardest hug Chloe had ever felt. "GUHH!" The air is **** from her lungs as Fiona holds her like she wished she could hold Elsie and Jesse. Chloe's faces is smashed into Fiona's boobs, her thick glasses are **** crooked on her surprised face.

"We'll be safe here Chloe." Fiona says at a hissing whisper as she holds her cousin protectively. "I won't let you get sick Chloe."

"Mmmph!" Chloe rummages her face out of Fiona's cleavage. "That's...good." She grunts, struggling to take in air.

"Everything is going to be okay. You understand me?" Fiona stares down intensely. "Everyone is going to get through this!"

"Guhhh...sure Cuz! Whatever...you say!"

Fiona hugs Chloe so hard a few of her vertebrae crackle then just as quickly as she'd grabbed her she lets her go. Chloe staggers back and straightens her glasses.

"Where's Mom?" Fiona asks, not actually curious but just for something to say to break the awkwardness after the hug.

"She's got headphones on. Your music was too loud for her. She's working on something in her office." Chloe then adds in a worried tone. "I think she looking up everything about this pandemic. Find out how to keep us safe and stuff. She's scared. This is so scary, isn't it Fiona?"

"We'll be okay." Fiona promises. Chloe knew Fiona couldn't really make that promise but it felt nice to hear it regardless. Fiona let's out a sigh. "I guess it's just the three of us for awhile. Hey, when can..."

Just then there is a light tapping on the door. Fiona looks to the door confused. "Who the fuck would that be right now?"

"Don't answer it." Chloe suggests nervously.

Fiona ignores the advice. "Stay back." She swings the door wide open.

"Oh!" Allison starts at the suddenness and swiftness with which the door opened. "Oh, uh, hi Fiona. Is...Jesse here?"

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Fiona's voice drips with venom, her eyes narrow with open hostility toward the skank trying to steal her brother away from the family. She couldn't understand what Jesse saw in this basic bitch when he had more women than he could ever want right here at home. Real women. Bailey women.

Allie practically melts under Fiona's withering hazel gaze. "Uhhhhh...I...uhhhhh...ohhh geez..."

Disregarding Fiona's order to stay back Chloe prances up to the door. "Don't let her scare you. She's just grumpy. What's up Allie? I'm Chloe by the way."

"Oh, uh, yes." Allison glances back and forth between the mixed messages of the two women at the door. One tall and glowering, the other small smiling and welcoming. "Yeah, I've heard about you Chloe."

"I bet you have! I'm a living legend. Some call me...a sex goddess."

Fiona rolls her eyes at her socially hopeless cousin. The woman couldn't act normal if her life depended on it. How she got through daily life on her own Fiona couldn't imagine. Also, nobody had ever said those things about Chloe. There is only one Goddess in this family.

Allie giggles at the unexpected reply from the nerdy looking Chloe. "Oh! Well Jesse never told me that!" They both laugh as Fiona grumbles.

Allison directs all of her attention to the friendly face. "Anyway. Jesse mentioned you guys were getting tested. I just got tested and I'm free and clear. If he's negative too I was going to ask him if he wanted to come to my place for a while and we could distance together. I don't have any family in town and all my friends are already with theirs. Gets kinda lonely by yourself, ya know?"

"Oh yeah, I know. Trust me." Chloe nods and visibly relaxes. "Glad you're clear. Fiona and I are too."

"That's good. So...is he home or..."

Chloe's face falls to a somber pout. "Jesse tested positive I'm afraid. So did Elsie and my Mama. They weren't showing any symptoms but they're in quarantine together over at Mama's house so they don't spread it around."

"Oh." Allison says. "I'm...sorry to hear that."

To Fiona's eye Allison's glum reply was out of a selfish need for company and distraction rather than a genuine concern about Jesse or the others. It took all she had not to throat punch the bitch where she stood.

"Um...well...tell him I hope he gets better. I'll call him later." Allie thumbs back over her shoulder toward her car. "I guess I'll be going. It was nice..."

"Now hold on a second." Fiona says in a smooth friendly voice that surprises both Chloe and Allison. They look up to her to see Fiona smiling a warm welcoming smile completely at odds with the scowl she'd had just moments ago. "You're right Allison. At a time like this nobody should have to be alone. We need to band together. Together apart and all that shit. Come on, we have plenty of room here."

"What!?" Chloe is even more stunned than Allie. "Uhhh, Fiona. You might want to talk to Auntie Helen about this."

Fiona smiles at her cousin. "Chloe, don't be rude. Allie and Jesse have been together for a long time." Her smiles grows. "She's practically family."

Had this been any other Bailey alarm bells would have been going off big time...but this was Chloe. She looks back at Allison bubbling over with excitement. "Do you wanna stay with us? Do you wanna sleep over? We can watch movies and make cookies and dance and give each other facials."

Allison wasn't sure what to make of the totally out of the blue invite. The Bailey's had always been so standoffish before this and Jesse generally made sure to keep them separate from her. "I'm...uh...not really..."

"It's decided then." Fiona states as she throws an arm around Allison and pulls her into the house. "You can stay with us. It's about time we all got to know each other. My brother will be so happy we finally connected."

"I didn't even bring a change of..." Allison tries to say.

"Don't you worry about any of that." Fiona interrupts. "We've got spare everything here, don't we Chloe?"

Chloe nods with cheerful enthusiasm, caught up in the excitement of company. "Yeppers! No problem!"

"But..." Allie stammers.

"Besides, the more you're out in the world the more chance you might catch it and bring it back here." Fiona looks down directly into Allison's blue eyes. "Say yes." It was more a command than a request.

"Uh..."

"It would be rude to refuse." Fiona says, her facade already fraying at the edges. "Say yes Allison."

"Yeah!" Chloe chirps. "Pleeeeeease."

Allison knew this was weird. She knew she really shouldn't stay with Jesse's family, who were practically strangers, without at least talking to him first. And she did find Fiona's sudden change in attitude peculiar. Yet...she really didn't want a moment longer alone in her apartment. With classes cancelled and nearly everything else closed she was starting to go stir crazy and she was desperately lonely. Also, Fiona had a point. It wouldn't hurt to get to know Jesse's family. She was still on the fence about their relationship. He was a sweet boy, a hot boy, and she really liked him as a person. She wanted it to work out, yet his lack of confidence, his secretive personality, and his meager to average sexual ability had her always questioning just how much of a future they could really have together. Perhaps bonding with his family might be just the thing to allow her to truly commit to him. As an only child to wealthy but emotionally cold parents Allie had always been curious about Jesse's very different home life. Deep down she yearned to know what it felt like to have close knit family. Perhaps these Bailey's might provide that for her if things went well with Jesse.

On top of all of that...she wasn't minding one bit Fiona's strong arm around her shoulders. There was something about Jesse's older sibling that simultaneous scared yet intrigued Allison, as if she were a moth and Fiona an open flame. She liked how the tall blonde with the intense hazel eyes of an apex predator just took control of the situation. More than once Jesse had accidentally called her Fiona as they made love and Allison was beginning to understand why. The tall blonde bombshell was so much more than just a pretty face and a hot body. Fiona burned with a certain...charisma that could not be ignored.

Allison smiles nervously. "Sure, why not. At least for a night, we'll see how it goes."

"Yippee!" Chloe jumps in celebration. "I love making new friends."

"Yes. New friends." Fiona's evil grin grows. "Practically family."
