Carol spots Madge and Shannon

“Oh good!” Carol said suddenly, “They’re here, right on time!” She led you through the crowd over to a table, where Shannon and Madge were sitting, sipping on brightly colored drinks.

The pair stood and hugged Carol. Shannon’s mouth dropped open and she clapped happily. “Carol! She’s a knockout!”

Madge grinned. “And here you were hiding that gorgeous figure, Erica! “ She made you spin, showing her your entire ensemble. “Wait until we tell Eleanor! She’ll want to see the new you, Erica! In fact, I think it’s safe to say no more hiding your beauty at work! How will you ever catch a man?”

“Well, you see..” you started to say.

Shannon cut you off. “We come here every Friday night, looking for Mr. Right.” She grinned broadly. “And now, you can join us! It’ll be fun!”

“But I...” you started to say again.

“Oh, here comes our waitress. Another round of drinks, ladies?” Carol asked as a waitress dressed in a strapless, tight fitting leotard and cat ears on her head came by to take your drink orders. Carol ordered you another Pink Squirrel.

Some music started playing and in short order, Shannon and Madge were asked to dance. It wasn’t long before a tall man in a suit came over to you.

“I’m sorry, but a pretty little thing like you should not be sitting this out. Care to dance?”
