Do they head back to Melissa’s? Or is there a change of plans?
They head back to Melissa’s
The pair left the house before Kyle said, “Pink? He had to give me a pink phone?”
“It’s your color, KYLIE,” Sam said with a big grin, emphasizing his brither’s feminized name.
Kyle’s phone buzzed and he looked at it, his face falling when he saw the notification.
Notification from MARCi:
Favorite color updated to pink
“Oh no! No, no, no, no!” Kyle said. “These things are linked to MARCI! You just set my favorite color to pink!”
Sam grabbed the phone from his brother and laughed as he read it. “You’d better be careful around Darla, then. MARCI could have a field day with that.”
Yeah, well...SAM’S FAVORITE COLOR IS PINK!” Kyle shouted, waiting for MARCI to note that for Sam.
Sam held his breath and stared at the phone.
Nothing happened.
“This has to be a bug,” Kyle said, glumly, continuing on. “But we get done with dinner and you undo everything, right?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Sam said, “buzzkill.”
Kyle slid the phone into his back pocket as they arrived at Melissa’s house. Sam knocked on the door, and it was promptly opened by Theresa.
“Sam!” She said, “And Kylie!” She hugged them both. “Come in, come in. We’re having chicken, I hope that’s OK!”
“That’s great!” Said Sam. He elbowed Kyle.
“Yeah. Great!” Kyle added.
Mellisa came bounding into the entryway. “Hi Sam! Kylie, rocking the shortalls!” She grabbed Kyle’s hand. “Give us a sec, Mom. Girl stuff!”
Melissa escorted Kyle back to meet the other girls, now clothed, sitting at the patio table by the pool. They jumped up and each hugged Kyle. He could get used to that!
Robin piped up. “Ok, girl, phone!” She held out her hand. Kyle reluctantly handed over his new pink phone.
“Oh!” Robin said as she inspected his phone. “Is this a new Samsung?”
Kyle shrugged. “My uncle just gave it to me.”
“Lucky!” Robin began. “This is a SUPER nice phone!” She began typing away on it.
Kyle was then pulled over and selfies were taken with him and each of the girls. They made him smile, and they all started typing away on their phones. Once Robin was done with Kyle’s new phone, she also took a picture with him on her phone. The girls all then huddled around Kyle for one last selfie with his phone. Robin took it back and did some last bit of typing before handing it back to Kyle.
Kyle’s new Instagram account was open, and he had pictures posted with the girls, and they had tagged him in all the pictures they just took with him. He sighed.
“So you’re now on Instagram and Facebook. We’ll have to get a ton more pics up, though!” Robin declared.
“Totally!” Darla agreed.
“You know, Kylie, the shortalls are cute, but you really should think about some more fitted clothes.” Darla said.
The phone buzzed and Kyle saw a notification pop up:
Notification from MARCI
Wear more fitted clothes
Kyle took the phone and shoved it into his back pocket before anything else could go wrong.
“Yeah, Kylie. You’ve got a cute figure! And that won’t last forever!”
Kyle felt another buzz and yabked the phone back out of his pocket to see
Notification from MARCI
Maintain figure
He began trying to figure out how to shut the phone off.
“Yeah,” Robin said, “Don’t you want a boyfriend?”
Kyle was desperately mashing the power button when
Notification from MARCI
Get boyfriend added to “to do” list
Popped up just before he got the phone shut off
He’d have to find a way to delete those things as soon as he could.
The patio door slid open a bit and Theresa stuck her head out, “Girls, it’s time to come eat!”
Kyle and the girls slid the patio door open and went into the house for dinner.
