It fails but you save the situation

You watch the scene unfold, hidden in the corner. You have high expectations of Judy. You want to test whether it is possible to have someone else convey your thanks. If doing so is possible, then, the reach of your ability will expand considerably.

"You! What are you doing? Take off your foot or I'll scream!" Melissa shouted from inside in panic. You cannot see her body behind the wooden door but you can tell she is pressing against the door.

"I just felt so bad for disturbing you that I don't think I can just let you go like that. I have decided to reward you for not getting mad at us. What do you think?"

You let your words settle and since Melissa does not immediately retort, you know you successfully influenced her. "You are probably not in a good mood because you saw how close I am with Judy. So I was thinking of letting you become my friend with benefits too like Judy told you. She is the first, you will be the second one. I will treat both of you the same." The smile on your face grows with each word you say.

The pressure on your foot disappears. The door is flung open. You see Melissa standing inside looking at you and trembling with excitement. "Really? You are willing to let me become your friend with benefits just because of that little prank?"

"Of course! I am John Doe, the most generous man on Earth. Can I come in to discuss the details of our relationship? I know you have your own circumstances and want to make things straight from the start." You chuckle and do not even wait for her reply. You step inside.

"Of course. Come in." Melissa swiftly closes the door behind you.

"Alright. Do you have anybody in life like a Boyfriend like Judy?"

"No. I had one a few months ago but we broke up. I am single right now."

"That's great. Then here's is how it is going to be. You will forget about the incident just now and treat it as a little prank between us.
