The Girl Named Mary

It was almost two weeks into my new 'job' when I got bored of my daily routing of working, playing then sleeping. It was only then when I took notice of a clinic near the shop where I was playing.

It was around 10:00 am when I stopped, I went out doing my usual routing when I saw the receptionist on the clinic again. I recalled that ever since I saw her smiled that one time I almost always stopped to see if she was there.

She smiled at me and went outside, I noticed her making a gesture to her fellow receptionist that she was heading out. Then she walked out and went straight for the stairs.

I thought to myself that this was my chance. I could also sense that she was waiting for me as well.

I took up the courage, caught up to her and asked, "Hello miss, I didn't manage to catch your name back there"

She paused and smiled "I thought you'd never ask." She got some piece of paper with some writing on it, then she followed up. "My shift ends at 6:00 pm, gotta go now"

I was stunned not knowing what to do as I watched her cross the street to probably get take-outs for lunch.

I took it upon myself and inspected the piece of paper she has given me. Written on it was a contact number, under it were the words "I notice you from a while back, it's Mary Grace by the way...XOXO"

I then went home to my apartment, set my alarm to 6:00 then prepared myself for sleep. With one thought in my mind 'Mary Grace'
