Blood of our Blood, a study on the Vampire curse by Lord Kvasir

Through the ancient book You read, carefully studying each word, all written in blood by the look and smell, a weird realisation came upon you.

"This is... this is really easy" Your crimson eyes caught the first word of a paragraph, and in less than a second, whether the paragraph was long or short, You finished it. one page, eight pages, fifteen pages, good grief! You had super reading powers too!? this deal just gets better all the time!

Even with Your revelation, as your mind dissected the pages, breaking them down into easy to understand sections, the contents of what You were reading where far beyond fascinating, sure it was all a little hard to understand, clearly this was written a long time ago, but it was amazing the things You were reading, not to mention how much clarity it all gave.

Nobody truly knows where Vampires began, though many speculate as to the true origins, it has never been able to be confirmed, even by the eldest of Blood-suckers, however it is known that in-spit of many vampire's being extremely unique, that there are in fact Three Categories of Vampire.

You had already flicked through the introduction and so brushed past the entire First second, clearing the next 110 pages in less than a minute.

The Leech

Weakest of broods and most common shape of the Vampire, The Leech are an infestation, the form taken by those turned by the lesser bloods and by other Leech's respectively. As before mentioned, Leeches spread like wildfire, massacring and feeding from many when left unchecked, however, this rapid growth in their numbers is luckily accompanied by their absolute inferiority, for even a mere mortal could slay a leech. And so when encountering these mindless beasts, immediate action must be taken to Halt the spread, as is the decree of the High-Council...

"High-Council, Muninn mentioned them, they sound pretty important" You thought, though the next section pulled Your attention back in.

The Blooded

Surely You who reads these pages, are one of our main population. The Blooded make up the body of our cursed being, it is true that the average Blooded Vampire must feed at least thrice a month, taking in at least a pint on each feeding, sunlight singes and burns upon touch, though this can be warded off by covering any exposed skin.

So You can go out in the sunlight? although walking around wrapped up like that must get people suspicious.

The Pages continued...

The Blooded in-spite of their many weakness' are powerful beings, boasting increased speed, and the strength of ten men, though with all of our kind, the power we are given in turn for our suffering, is dependant on it's wielder.

All the others, "Blooded" is what they were called, even now You could feel them all, the little beads of power in all of them in the floors above You.

But there was still one more section to go... You read the words carefully, they felt, warm, familiar as You spoke them aloud.

"The Superior"

The Living ****, Noctus-Rex, Nosferatu, or as they are more commonly called, The Superior, are highest and most powerful of all the Vampire Brood.

The power to crush armies, fast as a raging hurricane and with power over all that is associated with the night and shadow, The Superior are titans among us, with the might to drain a city dry of it's blood and leave devastation in it's wake, these wolves among sheep are small in number, rarely seen by the eyes of even the eldest Vampires, know that when a superior walks amongst us that the sea of fate itself may bow to their will.

You closed the tome as You read the last page, the words were heavy on your mind, "I can't be that powerful can I, nothing can be that powerful, even with all of this crazy Vampire stuff, this is just ridiculous"

Your eyes flickered to the rest of the books on the table, the sight of all of that knowledge, all at your fingertips... You, had some serious reading to do.
