Joey surprises her with Harpie's Feather Duster

"Ya know, ever since I dueled ya and faced all ya tricky traps and crap, I been thinkin' about the best way to get around that kinda mess. The funny part is that you're the one who gave me da answa'! I play Harpie's Feather Dusta! Little page outta ya own playbook, Mai!" Joey laughed, playing the card and grinning challengingly, as though he were expecting her to pout about it.

Mai did more than pout; she groaned, clutching her face with one palm as she watched her trap cards go to the graveyard. She could activate Windstorm, but there would be no point; the Goblins could still switch back into attack position. At least she could take some solace that it would probably be her perverted harpie sisters getting the business end of those goblins... Joey was unlikely to play another monster with high enough attack to destroy them on this turn. Whatever he played would need to beat out 2150 ATK points.

Joey's grin showed that he wasn't done yet... Mai hated to think what was probably coming next. "Don't you have any handsome warriors in that deck of yours? If he plays Red-Eyes Black Dragon and attacks me with that, I really am going to scream..." she thought to herself, feeling powerless without the protective wall of her trap cards.
