You slither off in the direction of the dead forest, ready to mate with the basilisk that lives there. As the trees around you begin to look lifeless and gnarled, and completely devoid of leaves despite the spring season, you think about what you're about to do.

You know that mating with a basilisk is going to be challenging, because of the mutual disdain. However, having one as a mate could only produce truly grand hybrids! With the combined powers of a gorgon and basilisk, not even a dragon can stand against them! ...Hopefully.

A small part of you can even appreciate the beauty of the trust required for the relationship. Without the ability to paralyze, both you and the basilisk will be fairly easy to **** while sleeping...
