At a friend's house

"Hi!!"

Two girls' voices met as one as both voices uttered the most common greeting phrase known to man. Isabel had decided to take Katie's offer and come over to a little social gathering this evening, even if it meant taking the bus for an hour.

"I'm so glad you could make it! Was the trip alright?" Katie asked Isabel, who entered the house from the snowy weather outside.

"Yeah, the trip itself was alright, but the weather is terrible! I hate snow!" Isabel exclaimed as she looked into the living room.

She spotted six other people she knew from before and two that she didn't know: Jessica, Holly, Emily, Julia, Rachel and Mary were the girls she knew, but she also noticed two guys she'd never seen before.

"Um, I thought...I thought we were only going to be girls here tonight?" Isabel asked Katie, a bit puzzled.

"Yeah, we were, but Holly and Julia wanted to bring their boyfriends as well, and I couldn't refuse, so..." Katie explained and Isabel was okay with it.

Everyone smiled bright when Isabel entered the living room, and she hugged every single one of the girls and shook hands with the two guys: Kevin and Andy.

"Alright, now that everyone's here, let's do something!" Katie suggested, and brought out a game of monopoly.
