A Silly Surprise

Brendan crosses his arms, and pouts. "Fine then, have it your way. I'll find out before too long." He turns his attention back to the mall. "So where are we going to find the last outfit?"

"Tall and ripped right?" She gives Brendan a playful push. "You must have really enjoyed the new Wonder Woman movies." He merely laughs and shakes his head, braided pony tail bobbing behind him. "Well," She states thoughtfully. "If you just want tall, we could just check out a Nordstrom, or Asos" Her eyebrows peak in amusement. "But if you want REALLY tall, I think there's a big and tall store around here somewhere that offers specialty items."

He rubs his hands together like a cartoon villain. "That please!" He pipes with his feminine tamber.

"You are too cute!" Amy squeals. "In fact... I don't think I can wait."

"Hmm?" He intones curiously. He yelps as she suddenly slips something over his head, but when he goes to tug them free, he yelps again as a jolt shudders down his temple, and neck. "What did you do?" He grumbles feeling the strange, velvety sock that seems to be hanging from his head. He pulls it down in front of his face, and it hangs a little past his chin, but when he lets go, it springs back, more or less, upright above his head. Further inspection reveals two of these socks, bouncing and bobbing above his head.

"I'm sorry! I couldn't help it!" She cries loudly enough for Brendan to wince. He looks up to her and finds an ear to ear smile betraying just how sorry she actually is. "You're just too precious like this. I wasn't sure if it would work... but..." She holds up a compact mirror for him, revealing the same cute goth girl as before, except now sporting soft black bunny ears. The inside is like black patterned lace, though it's obviously flesh and blood now, and the outside of the ears sheen like silk, though the fur is quite long and fluffy.

"I found them in the romance boutique, and thought they'd suite goth you perfectly!" She continues before he has time to protest. Her voice still seems a little too loud to him.

A pregnant pause fills the air, before he meekly concedes. "They really kind of do... But I can't go around the mall like this." She frowns. "And what if someone saw!" Her face turns downward. Not wanting to ruin her mood, he sighs, and compromises. "It's fine, I just think I need a beanie or something until we leave."

She nods. "I'll get you a beanie from hot topic, BUT." She holds up a finger, and her grave expression turns mischievous. "You have to wear the tail too." She holds up a shimmering black triangle of fluff with a clip on one side. Like the ears, the underside is patterned lace, while the top side is long shimmering fur. He rolls his eyes, but turns around, and she quickly pins it in place. Resisting the urge to give the bunny butt a swift slap, she bids Brendan farewell and scurries off to retrieve the beanie.

Brendan plays around with the tail, twisting, and turning to get a good look at it, and flitting it around experimentally. It's surprisingly dexterous, and he has a remarkable amount of control, but before long, he sits back down, glancing around nervously, worried about who might have seen what, and feeling rather silly with his proud rabbit ears.

Quick as she left, Amy returns, with a knitted black slouch beanie. Brendan reaches out for it, but before he can take it, she slips it on over his head so that his ears hang floppily by each side of his head. Hanging to the side, they don't hurt the way they did tugged in front of his face, and they hang a little lower, almost to his shoulders. Amy takes one of them between her thumb and finger, and rubs the tip. "They're so soft!"

A tingly rush traces down the length of his new appendage, and all the way to the base of his spine, and despite himself, his toes curl, and he bits his bottom lip.
"T-that feels good." He confesses with a sigh.

She titters. "So you ready to go on?"
