You couldn't live with yourself if you just left, so you pull the trigger. A bright red laser bolt emerges from the end of your rifle and pierces the beasts hide directly in the chest. It roars and charges you.

You pull the trigger again and again. The beast closes the distance and leaps at you...

You open your eyes and the first thing you see is your weapon's readout: 48. You feel the weight of the creature resting on you. You manage to wriggle out from underneath it. You give yourself a quick once over and are relieved to find yourself unhurt.

You remember the alien you saved and you look back to where it was trapped. You see that it has collapsed, wether from fear or injury you don't know. As you approach, you realize that the humanoid is wearing clothes and is obviously female.

You recall that its very human anatomy would have been a surprise to early explorers. You try to remember your xenobiology classes about how intelligent life predominantly evolved in a convergent fashion to be very human like. Interspecies breeding was indeed possible for most beings, which was the only part you were really interested in. You had always been more interested in the workings of machines than animals.

You see that the female, you decide to call her Gena after her green skin, is injured. You quicky apply some first aid with the kit you have with you. A scan reveals that she is no longer in immediate danger, however she does require more intensive medical care than you can provide here.

You estimate her to be around four and a half feet tall with similar proportions to a human female, so you have little difficulty picking her up. You carry her back to your camp and you arrive as night falls. She has yet to awaken.

You lay her in your bed and begin administering medical care. When you are finished you take a better look at her. She reminds you of a fantasy goblin, with her small stature, large pointed ears, ans green skin. She has rather wide hips and what you would estimate as c cup breasts if she was human sized. She has a very pretty face, and besides the injuries she sustained, she is in great health.

With her occupying the bed, you lay down next to her and fall asleep.

You wake up the next morning, you stand up and check on her. Her wounds have almsot completely healed without scarring, thanks to your futuristic medicine. She slowly opens her eyes.
