Take a lit path

You can't just stay where you are until the Minotaur finds you or get lost fumbling around in the dark. If you want to get out, you need to keep on moving. You see old bloodstains and bones on the floor but try to ignore them. The path makes a few turns but doesn't split so you keep moving until you encounter a large hole in the floor. You can easily walk around it and keep going along the path you are on right now, but looking down the hole, you can see a pool of water. You can drop down and the water will break your fall but you don't know what else is down there. You can also risk sticking your head down the hole to get a better view of what's in the tunnel under you but you could lose your balance and end up falling, even if you don't want to go down.
