Mona gives you an ultimatum

“Matty help me lift this thing,” Mona said feigned helplessness as she tried to lift the guitar off the hanging.

“Can you stop calling me Matty? And it’s not heavy, just do it yourself,” You said.

“Why are you so mean to me, Matty?” Mona says, pouting.

“Why are you so interested in tormenting me?” You asked.

“You’re a fun boy. Plus, I got an offer to make you. Plant to plant,” Mona says, forgetting about the guitar and facing you with holding her hands behind her back.

“Oh, and what’s that?” You asked.

“At the next recoupling, it’s boys' choice, and you’ll pick me,” Mona says.

“And why exactly would I do that?”

“Because if you don’t, I’m going to have to tell Rick and Liz what you did to them,” Mona says coldly.

“So you’re blackmailing me?”

Mona nodded and grinned.

“You do know the cameras are on us. They are recording us right now while you make this proposition,” You say.

“I’m not stupid, Matty... Reality TV is a popularity game. The ones who are always the most popular are always the villains. We should stick together. Villain and villain.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s an easy road to winning. We’ll be the last couple standing, and we’ll split the million-dollar grand prize.”

“So that’s it. Money for you?” You asked.

Mona rolled her eyes and then says, “Let me guess something about you, and you’ll tell me if I’m right or wrong. You were probably dragged to the producers, and they tried to get you on the show. But you aren't totally unaware of yourself, so you know that there is no reason to go on only just to be humiliated. So they offered you money, and since you are just a little store clerk, you thought you could just accept it."

Raising her eyebrow, she added, "Aren’t you here just for money too?”

“That’s was true once, but it’s different now. I want to find love, and I think I found it,” You say.

“Love? Oh my god, how naïve you are. Do you know out of the past 10 winning couple, not a single one lasted a year? Do you really think this place is a good incubator for love my dear? Sure... it’s very romantic when you are here in Spain on a beautiful island, but when the cameras are off you and you go back to your cold apartment in the real world and you’re in a relationship with Paige or Jenna or whoever you “fall in love” with next isn’t going to last. You’re Cinderella sweetheart, and this is your ball. The pumpkin is the real world.” Mona said.

“If that happens, then it happens. I would rather try and fail then do what you want. Besides, if you think I’m so popular, why exactly would I need you to win the money?” You asked.

“You don’t really unless you want to spend the remaining weeks here hated by everyone and have me sabotage any popularity you have,” Mona said. “I’ll give you time to think it over. You have by the end of tomorrow to give me an answer.”

A mix of amazement, bewilderment, and pure anger mixed in your face as you listened to that proposition. She was a plant alright. That sounded like a Hollywood villain line through and through.
