Adoption Day

Lauren woke up ready to face facts, she was never going to return to her old life ever again.

People won't believe her side of the story and also think she has the body of an 8 year old girl who lies about her age to make herself look mature.

At this point, she won't bother continuing to prove to everyone who she really is and how old she really is.

Her life sucked, she hated her mom and sister. She had no real friends and not even a boyfriend. She hated her body so much that she tried hiding herself for years.

Honestly... what's the point anymore?

"ATTENTION EVERYONE"

Lauren had just noticed one of the staff members calling out to every child (and her) from the main entrance.

Lauren figured if she was stuck like this then why not just play along for the time being. She was listening to the staff member announce that today was the weekly adpotion day for orphans of all ages.

Lauren did worry that being adopted would cause the parents wanting to adopt her to discover who she was and involve police to have her arrested or send her to a mental institution for pretending to be a child

She hadn't realized it yet but the staff member was looking at Lauren with intent.

She was first up for adoption day due to her short history of trying to escape or lie about her age to leave the orphanage.

The staff figured that Lauren being adopted first would make things easier for them so they wouldn't have to deal with a troublemaking child anymore.
