Introductions

There are plenty of ways to start a story, and here we are at the main entrance of Tina Koya University. A car parked outside the main building, a very old building also very well preserved over the years, the car passengers were amazed by the view, John, Holly and Jane Davis.

Holly, the older one who was driving felt accomplished by arriving there with her brother and sister “This is it”

His twin sister Jane raised an eyebrow “Really? Even now you bring Dank Souls? Grow up.”

John knew she was just pretending to be calm about it "What? You were the one who couldn't stop talking about it last night.." He teased her.

Holly wanted to participate in their conversation as the sister she was, but limited to say nothing.

“Anyway” John continued “We must meet with mom in one hour, I…” He stared at the evasive face of Holly "I'm gonna walk around, Kiyoshi texted me that he's already here.. " Holly's face wasn't changing "T-Thanks sis for driving us here.. I.." Jane sighed. John simply turned around and walked away.

Holly, still holding the car's handlebar sighed “I'm sorry... Is not easy.. Even after all this time.”

Jane put a hand on Holly’s shoulder “I don't blame you silly, neither John. Even if he doesn't know about it…”

“I just wish one day to be capable of talking about it…” She held her own hand on her sister’s “Not just with you silly.”

Jane released her as both of them left the car "Is up to you with who or when you want to talk about it" Holly has already heard those words so many times... Jane grabbed her arm "Come! Show me the main building! This place has so many stories to tell"

“Yes.. Can't believe we are going to be this close after those two long years.”

Jane started mocking her “Not gonna cry now, are you?”

"Shut up!" She smiled now.

“That's better.”

As they both were walking inside Holly added "Thanks... I will talk with him, I hope it's not too late" Jane smiled.

Several meters away John was thinking "(Don't worry sis, it isn't)" Something important about John and Jane is, they aren't simply brother and sister... In a conventional way.

They are a single entity, which identifies itself as John and Jane at same time. This being, is capable of see, talk, hear and everything else through John and Jane at unison, no matter the distance between them. They can't say they are a male or a female with two bodies, as far as they remember they have always been like this and not even their family knew it. For years they have tried to find an explanation for their nature, but with no results. With time they just accepted they were like this and weren’t complying for it.

However even if they share knowledge and information, 'John' and 'Jane' have their own likes and dislikes. For example John can be lazy at times, but years of being bullied by his history teacher give him determination to follow the same path, maybe to prove him how to properly do it with some respect for your students, maybe because he wanted to prove him wrong of John being a failure or maybe.. He just didn't think about it at all and just was impulsive.

As Jane on the other hand, always was drawing everything she saw. Started to like the different shapes the world has to offer, specifically the buildings. Architecture was the obvious choice. She is more communicative, but has difficulty managing relationships with other persons besides her family. Unlike John, who spends most of his time with friends. The body of Jane tends to feel uncomfortable around many people, while John doesn't. Is not exactly anxiety, but close to it.

They are a single being, with two bodies and two different lives to live on.

Somewhere else, outside Tina Koya’s space, an unusual conversation was taking place. The amused Katrina was walking over there while her sister Yui complied “(This makes sense... You let me drink that much last night, so you could be awake early this morning.. There's no way I would dress like... This!)”

Katrina was laughing "Exactly! Don't expect me to apologize!!" The short haired redhead replied as she put her hands-free kit on her ear.

“(Like you could... I wanted our first day were with that lovely dress...)”

"Your sense of clothing is like a century old... With our curves and these two" She stared at her boobs "Would be a crime to hide it on that thing!"

“(That's exactly the problem! I didn't expect them to grow up that fast in a year!)”

“That was marvelous! The faces John put on when he saw us on christmas... Priceless.”

“(And what about Jane? It was hard to talk to her then, now is even worst!)”

That wasn’t so, she had to concede “Guilty... It's our first day, relax.”

“(And I'm suppose to have the control today!)”

“Our first day we weren’t going to be wearing that thing!” They just arrived close to the main entrance “My mission is complete!” She put her hand on her forehead saluting to a nonexistent commander.

Yui knew there was no point to keep arguing, she would lose so much time to get something more appropriate to wear, and they were running out of time. A lot of new and old students were around, there was no place to be lonely for what they needed "(Hurry up! There, behind those trees)" Katrina walked to the pointed place, it was now time to change.

She closed her eyes for a moment, and in a matter of seconds her red hair was dyed in purple as it was growing to cover most of her back. Instinctively, she put a ribbon which was on her pocket, on her hair. She opened her once green eyes, now light blue. Good time to be Yui.

One could say this is mostly the opposite to John and Jane. Katrina and Yui are two separate girls, who share a single body. One of them could 'drive' it at the time, while the other is just a passenger, who shares the driver's senses. They don't have linked minds, which allows them to have secrets towards the other, but it is hard to have one if your companion sees what you see most of the time. That's the other thing, their consciousness are separate, meaning that one of them could go to sleep, as the other could drive the body. If the driver is the one sleeping (literal or figuratively), the other can assume control of the body, else the driver lets the passenger take the driver's place. Their body looks the same regardless who is driving, except for the head. Their nature is something family related, something they still wait to be explained by their mothers, but seems to be far from getting there considering they still need to control this nature or abilities for themselves.

But how will they attend university life like this? Their plan is to let Yui begin her studies on Tina Koya, preparing herself as a lawyer, while Katrina will take next year to whatever she wants to... Yeah even now she doesn't know what to do with her future. This way they will freeze one year for the other, until they reach the 'Union'. Ironic name, given the circumstances. That's the name their mothers tell them, the process on how they will become separate beings.

Unlike Holly or Sandra (Holly, John/Jane mother), Laura Morgan and Yuuna Yamashita knew perfectly what their daughters had to go through.

Officially they are just two good friends who live together, but not even Yui or Katrina could tell if there was something else between them...

Feelings aside, they were born the same way Yui and Katrina, as two different beings sharing a body. With time, they reached the so-called 'Union', which allowed them to separate their bodies as two different women. However, they could join together if they want, something they do mostly when they sleep at night.

Genetically speaking, Laura is Katrina's mother while Yuuna is Yui's. That doesn't stop them from seeing both girls as their children. The girls and their mothers aren't sisters by their DNA, but this particular condition forces them to live like they were. In order to reach the 'union', the girls must learn something which their mothers don't want to leave a single clue. Given the circumstances it will be a total challenge for them...

Back to the present, the transition has ended and Yui, now in control of the body, said “Finally. Very well... Our mothers will be coming to the ceremony tonight, when they end on their job”

“(Thanks captain obvious! No need to repeat it over again... Like everything else...)”

“That's why your grades never rise above average! in order to learn properly one must repeat things to keep your mind focused.”

“(You know... The world is much bigger than study... I would like to...)” She stopped talking,

Yui was intrigued by that scene “What is it?”

"(Nothing... Let's get moving)" The have just entered the campus, along with more students.

While The Davis brothers live considerably far from Tina Koya, the Morgans/Yamashitas didn't. Like Holly, John and Jane will be attending the formal rooms from the campus, Katrina and Yui will just be walking over there everyday. They, given their condition, studied at home with Yuuna, and some tutors (a few of them aware of the nature of this family), to finally reach the university to have some kind of normal life.

Both were astonished by the beauty of the interior “It's beautiful…” For Yui it was like a real palace.

“(It's awesome!)”

Suddenly Yui noticed something she was daydreaming about last night as she drank "Jane is there!" She said as she watched Jane and Holly going to the main building.

“(SOOO.... Will this be the time the princess has the courage to talk with her beloved one? Or she will she chicken out again?)”

“Jeezz.. You are such a headache.” But it was time for action “I.. I should go to salute them... Maybe... We might end up talking about her drawings.. I could encourage her on the journey ahead.. Try to give her a good impression of me... Perhaps she will want something to drink... Or I will just make her feel awkward... And she will look away, avoiding eye to eye contact... I... I did it again, didn't I? They are gone by now…" She tends to talk a lot when no one is around. To Katrina disgrace.

"(Yup)" Sister or not, she can't let her get down that easily, Yui felt how she tried to push her on the right track "(Come on! You can't fore... Wait!)" Nice sister has left the chat... Katrina has joined the chat! "(That's John.. Spaced out like always... Give me control for a moment... I need to bully him a bit!)".

"Figured..." She didn't really mind the abrupt change of topic, but then she realized this was Katrina’s plan all along "That's the reason to wear a shirt so tight!" Now she was red like a tomato.

“(You should admit you like to see him uncomfortable!)”

While Yui could not deny that, Katrina was in her own negation also “And you should admit your feelings!”

The main question is.. How and when will they share their nature with their beloved ones? Or maybe those will be one to expose their own? Time will tell.

Not every day you can have good weather and be walking with one of your favorite teachers, that was something Kiyoshi perfectly knew “What a lovely day…” Then he whispered in her ear “To see that lovely ass..”

Why did Leona Winters fall for that man? “You have no remedy…” But that was something she loved from him “Never change.”

This is basically the way most Kiyoshi and Leona days tend to be.

“Change…” There is something about that word that resonates in Kiyoshi’s head “Sometimes I wonder if I've always been like this.”

Leona loved how he could be her horny lover, but also an honest daydreamer “Where is that stud from 1 minute ago?”

Kiyoshi life has everything a hormonal teenager could want. Good looks, an athletic constitution, money, girls who love him and friends... Real ones. Wait, 'girls'? Well... That's a way to say it, when you have women like Leona, Conny, Grace, Vanessa, Irene, Sadie, Sandra, etc... Yes, an ever growing harem. Even with that, he felt empty. Multiple relationships might not be well appreciated for most people, but times are changing. Change again... That word is imprinted in Kiyoshi's mind, like it means something special, not just the traditional meaning of the word.

He for sure loves all the girls he slept with, and has no doubt of their feelings. So what is he missing? His family consists mostly of his uncle Maurice and his sister Emily. Oh yeah, that might be. Perhaps the fact that his sister doesn't know of his sexual life, and idolater him way too much. His uncle doesn't have a clue either.

One thing he knew for sure, is why he is here. Astronomy. Maybe the mysteries on the earth give him plenty of doubts, but the mysteries from a far far away place motivate him to search for answers. His existential problems seem to be nothing when he thinks about what might be beyond human reach.

Leona is plenty of things. A teacher, a lover, a friend, but never... A mother. A car accident a long time ago made sure of that. When stuff like that happens to you, you realize how much of your time you have wasted. She focused so much time on her work, leaving aside all the romance who knocked on her door. The double dates with Sandra didn't hit the spark as she hoped, she was feeling old. having lost most of her youth studying and dealing with the 'marital problems' as she called it, from Laura and Yuuna. But that was years ago. They have their children, who must be around at that moment, and as one of their child tutors she applied to be a teacher on Tina Koya to keep helping them as a friend, or as the mother could never be. Is not like the girls have mother problems or something like that, it is more like she has daughter problems to deal with. Kiyoshi is helping her with that. Hard to tell how things ended up the way they are, but being with him regardless of his other partners, makes her feel alive and young once again. This sharing thing is not that bad after all.

She knew Kiyoshi won the lottery by having his friends around. “It's so nice you guys ended up studying here. Maybe not the same profession, but close when you need them to be.”

And reminded him of his other problem “Yup, which takes me to the hard part... How the hell am I going to tell them?”

“I can't tell you how, but you choose to do it, so stop thinking about my ass, think about how to face them. Well, I must go to my office, tonight you know where... To... Go... I will be waiting…”

"Yes ma'am" She left him, as he was walking the campus "(Is that?..)" He stared at a girl who fell on her knees, but quickly got up "Kyoko..." He watched as she walked away with some other girls.

The always mighty and proud Sayaka declared “It's only natural for me to be at this place. I need to make sure everyone knows their place.”

“(Of course...)”

Kyoko said in a reverence “Of course miss Sato, It’s an honor you choose to study here with us” Sayaka smiled for that reaction.

While the demonic entity known as Circe was amused “(Fool... It's so easy to get your good side Sayaka... That overwhelming confidence of you, is just a mask to your insecurity... I can always use it to my advantage).”

Kyoko thoughts were always the same “(...)”

“(Ha! So fun... You couldn't resist me forever... Now I will do as I please with your body, but if you disagree with me feel free to tell me...)” She teased her.

“(...)”

“(Oh.. Why so silent? We used to talk a lot when you were younger... Oh! Right! I have control now! Not you!)” Circe said for her own delight.

There is a tale.. Of a lonely girl called Kyoko. She enjoyed playing with her friends, the real and the imaginary ones. But she had time for both. With time the imaginary one began to teach her. Smart enough to end her studies at a short age. Age, she wasn't sharing with anyone but a single imaginary friend. A friend who led her to get her to graduate with honors on Tina Koya at her short age. Age when she was hired by the same university to attend and teach as the exceptional genius girl she is. She, who at some point became a prisoner on her own body. The thing about tales is... Depending who is telling it, may give you a different perspective of the same facts.

This isn't a tale... This is a mystery. All she ever knew was her nature. A devil feeds on mortals' souls and emotions. But how is she so sure about it? All she ever remembered is to be attached to a mortal girl. She isn't capable of doing something for herself, just to watch the young girl running and smiling, so happy.. So free. Why couldn't she be like that? But the girl was always aware of her presence. The more the girl focused on the demon, the demon was feeling less chained. Eventually she could talk to the girl. She could suggest things to her. She was escaping her cell... Slowly. But it wasn't what she wanted. The girl ended up taking her commands, learning. The demon wanted to learn, what is she? There are more like her? History doesn't seem to have proper recordings that help. Maybe the focus she needed was the nature of the world around them. Maybe science could give her something to reveal this mystery. But knowledge itself isn't enough, she needs resources. That's where the Sayaka family enters, a lonely girl insecure inside, easy to manipulate. She made Kyoko her personal assistant and tutor as soon as she graduated from Tina Koya. Now a new year starts. The torment of Kyoko was just beginning.

“So, where are we going next?” Asked intrigued Cornelia “You know this place better than us Miss Kyoko.”

Sayaka was amused. “Oh please Corn, she is barely older than us... But I must admit, that suit gives you a mature air.”

One thing is manipulate the narrative, but Circe enjoyed manipulating the narrator “(I appreciate...)”

An intention that Kyoko will reflect "I appreciate your kind words Miss Sato" That wasn't meant to be kind "Please, just tell me Kyoko"

“Sure thing” Cornelia wasn’t sure what to think about Kyoko but that was a thought for a different moment.

The way Sayaka sees the world, she is on the top of it. Of course, a wealthy family is only proof of her rightful place in society. Tons of friends who keep reminding you of it every day, just remarked on that point. Even having your own Cornelia around. A little one who will do everything she is told if she is allowed to remain at Sayaka’s side... Also, a bright mind as Kyoko's tutoring her to improve her academic performance is like the universe is conspiring to raise her higher. Then why does her father always seem to be disappointed in her? She can't show weakness this time. She will prove daddy who she really is. But.. Who is Cornelia? She is Sayaka's friend right? She is always there when she needed something, when there were some important rumors around, she always informed her. Doesn't that make more like her subordinate? That could be the case, if Cornelia didn't know how fragile Sayaka really is. Sayaka doesn't know, but the only time she crying, she was watching her. She could have gone there to try to console her, to try to make her say what was going on. But then she understood the motive, no one ever cared about her. Deep inside she felt alone, but the world couldn't see a Sayaka so ruined. She was going to make sure she wasn't alone. Sayaka has dreams and plans, Cornelia was going to be part of them one way or the other. That's what she really wanted, right? Who knows.

Sayaka felt the need to lead the situation "Of course, my family has a particular residence here, I mean my ancestors practically built this place. Our dorms will be there. Sadly Kyoko you must remain in..." She stared at a boy who yelled for a redhead girl who scared him, a girl Sayaka knew..."(Of course she is here..)".

Cornelia felt on alert “(She is focused on that girl.. Why?)” If she meant trouble for Sayaka…

The always dormant mind of Kyoko reacted to the sight of the boy and the girl “(!!)”

Circe also recognized them "(Wait... Aren't they..?)" The childhood friends of Kyoko where around, Circe realize she as a new way to **** the girl "(I will...)"

From the deepest of her core the apparent dormant girl awakened "(NOOOO!!!!)" Circe would be surprised for this is she wasn't feeling a horrendous pain "(DON'T TOUCH THEM!!!)" Circe fell on her knees with Kyoko's body.

While Kyoko body didn’t reflect entirely what Circe felt, it micked her words without her wanted to do so "(Aghhhh!!)" How was this possible? "(Ok, I won't!)"

"Aghhhh!! Ok, I won't!" The pain stopped. How could she feel pain? She controls Kyoko's body, it never was capable of feeling something like that, even if Kyoko's body was injured.

Cornelia felt scared “Miss!! Are you ok?! What do you mean by that?”

Circe had control again and responded “(I'm sorry...)”

"I'm sorry, just a sudden headache.." She stood up "I don't know what I was talking to be honest, it just slipped my mouth, please do not worry by me".

“But you…”

Sayaka knew this would call for unwanted attention, they needed to leave there soon "You heard her, she is fine" The redhead and the boy didn't seem to notice them "Come, better get moving!" As the three of them walked away.

Circe was thinking about what had just happened “(It never happened before... I'm losing strength? She is developing her own? Treating her old friends seems to trigger that... I need to study more about it).”

Kiyoshi just arrived where his best friends were. “Hey guys!”

John was happy to see his friends together again “Look who finally arrived!”

“Sup!” Said Katrina somehow resting on the floor.

From the distance a girl lost the view of her friends who she once thought she would never see again. At the same time the demon was thinking "(So they are here after all...)"

She felt Kyoko again "(...)" A tear was dropping from her left eye.

“(I didn't order her to do that... It was me?... That's...)”

Those friends have a long year ahead of them.

John has his own questions “(How can I told them about me?)”

At the distance Jane thought “(Will this change how the see us?)”

The energetic redhead wanted to learn how to be more honest “(How can I tell him what it feels... Love him)”

While her sister needed to gather the courage to let her feel flourish “(And love her...)”

Kiyoshi has his own crisis too “(Oh hey Katrina, I know Yui is in there, and John I'm sleeping with you mom and plenty more girls you know... Wish i would be so simple...)”

Circe instead of answers found more questions “(Why do I feel they are connected to my past...)”

Kyoko slowly was letting herself to retake control of her life, unless “(Why... Did I forget something?...)”

Little did they know their fates were more tangled than they could imagine.

There are plenty of questions, but the most important at the moment... Maybe one of them will or maybe not, so...
