A girl I went to high school with

"Hey Mom," I said once I found her back in the kitchen.

"Hello, Sweetheart!!" She replied.

"I took a nap and had the weirdest dream," I said. "I dreamt you and Dad got divorced and you remarried Amy Lee's dad so she became my step sister."

"Well, I know it will take some adjustment, Honey, but I believe you'll be happy with our new family," she replied, since my dream had come true.

"But that's the thing, Mom," I said. "In my dream, I was talking to you and then suddenly you WERE Allison and you were actually really happy to be my step sister!"

"Well of course I am, Silly!" Amy exclaimed, suddenly there in my kitchen.

Never in my life would I believe Amy Lee would be in my kitchen, let alone smiling at me! She couldn't stand me in high school! And she was never shy about letting me know it, especially when she caught me looking at her or any of her friends!

"Well, I'm really happy to be your step brother too!" I said. "It's like a dream come true!"

But the dream could definitely be better. Because I'd already dreamt up what made Amy so happy about our new family.
