First day on the job. A meeting.

Damien was dressed in his best and was downtown at what he considered HQ for the gang. His boss was a man in his 40s with a faded scar near his right eye, blonde hair to his shoulders, and a goatee.

He greeted Damien as he walked in, Damien was already seated in front of the desk.

“Hello Damien! You have a good deal of work to do in your assigned area so I’ll cut to the chase. I don’t know why you’re being given this opportunity seeing as how you’ve only been with us for 2 years, but I don’t argue with management.”

He sat at the desk and steepled his fingers.

“Your job is thus. You will be given a specific amount of product of differing types and quantities based on our knowledge of demand in your area. You will establish and maintain a clientele that will purchase your product for a fixed fee.”

“The exact amount of money we expect weekly will be notated, and we will need to have an understanding that not one cent less will be tolerated. You are also required to not make any noise. If the authorities bust your operation we don’t know you and you don’t know us. We will lose money if you you go belly up and that is also not tolerable. Anything not tolerable is against the rules. Anything against the rules will get you punishment up to and including ‘termination’ of employment.”

The man leaned back. “All this said, you have some room to run your operation as your operation so long as no rules are broken. “

The man snapped his fingers and a thin man entered quickly.

“This man is Edward though we call him Eddie. He is your advisor, accountant, and confidant. He is also my eyes and ears in your operation in case you are too dumb to figure that out. You are not allowed to harm, intimidate, kill or replace him. You also do not bribe him. Any money you try to slip him to look the other way will be used to pay for your burial.”

The man leaned forward. “Any questions?”

Damien leaned forward. “Expenses?”

The man smiled. “Roughly 15% of your profits will be deferred to your account which Eddie will operate. You can hire a man or two, fuck a prostitute, or buy any needed supplies with it. If you increase sales, that 15% gets bigger. 5% will also be given to you as salary. Eddie will give you that at the first of the month.”

“Also, excess supply will be tracked be Eddie and can be used to increase your sales. Do NOT use your supply to get yourself high.”

Damien laughed and stood. The man followed. “I don’t do **** boss.”

His boss laughed.

Damien left.
