What does Mitch say?
Foosball
"Let's play Foosball!" Mitch called out. Cindy looked a little nervous. That brought a big smile to Mitch's face. They both headed towards the small table that was the chosen game. Pete cleared his throat. He tossed you a small white ball when you looked over. It was pretty beat up, but still heavy and solid.
Cindy grabbed the side closer to the door. The idea that she chose it so that she could bail if she was in danger of losing came to mind, but you quickly dismissed it. The cheerleader outfit was designed to show off her body. Generally cheerleaders had no problem showing off their bodies. And Cindy had shown more willing than most to do so. Of course if she actually did panic and threaten to bolt, the fact that you held her bra as a sign she had to do what you told her would give her second thoughts. More likely, she chose to keep Mitch from bolting if things went bad for him. You don't doubt that she was doing it to reward Pete for his help as much as it was to stop Mitch from running.
"Rules!" you started as you reached the table, "Each time the ball goes into your goal, your opponent gets a point. First one to seven wins the game and watch the other take a piece of clothing off. If at any time you lead by five, it is a skunk. Not only do you win the game but get to choose what they take off. If either of you can’t take anything off, you lose the match.
“No spinning, stalling, or knocking the ball off the table.” you continued, “First violation is a warning. After that, it could be a point or piece of clothing. Finally, Mitch, if you don’t beat Cindy before the end of our other game, you lose.”
“You said nothing about that.” Mitch exclaimed.
“It’s not too late to chicken out.” Cindy told him. Mitch looked back and forth between you and Cindy. Finally, the desire for the cheerleader won out. Mitch grabbed a couple of the poles on the near side.
“Ready?” you called out as you held up the ball. Cindy tightened the grip on the pole and called out that she was. Mitch hesitated. Finally he nodded. You had already headed back to the bar and tossed the ball over your shoulder.
“GO!” you called out as the ball hit the table. It landed deep in Cindy’s territory. Mitch shifted his hands to the front two poles. Seeing the ball come, Cindy had already gotten into position. She pushed it past Mitch’s front men before he had been able to get his hands on those poles. A slight kiss from her front row sent it past his goalie and into the goal.
“One nothing.” Cindy called out gleefully. She slid one of the markers over at her end of the table to reflect her score. Mitch grabbed the ball from the hole in the side of the table and dropped it into the center opening. It spun towards Cindy’s side of the table. She snapped her wrist. Mitch had accidentally slid his defenders to the side. The ball flew past them and into the open goal.
“Two nothing!” Cindy called out as she slid the second marker over at her end of the table.
“Looks like this is going to be a quick game.” Cindy added. She took a drink from the beer that Pete had placed near her goal.
“Don’t be so sure…” Mitch countered as he took a drink as well. Mitch adjusted his men. He reached in and pulled out the ball.
“Get ready for my comeback!” he said as he dropped the ball into play.
Does Mitch manage to make a comeback?
