Chapter 16
by
Willow Tindersmith
Do they manage to stay awake?
They fall asleep, and there's a knock on the door the next morning.
A knock on the door brought Ernest back to consciousness. "Wake up! I hope you weren't at the party for too long yesterday!"
He fought to keep dreaming the dream where the girl who had hosted that very party was right in bed with him, imagining how nice it would feel if it were actually true. Then he felt something move in his bed behind him.
"Oooaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" A breathy moan that must have come from his dream kept him under for a few seconds longer, before a hand on his shoulder startled him awake. He turned around and found Jessica's actual real face next to his.
"You-- But I--"
He rolled off the bed and right onto the remnants of their clothes from last night's erotic encounter.
Before his brain could really kick into gear, there was another knock on his bedroom door, "Good morning Ernest! Come on out, I already made you breakfast so you can still make it on time, but you have to hurry up a bit with getting cleaned up and dressed!"
The door opened to reveal a naked Ernest lying on his stomach next to the bed atop a pile of shredded clothing, and an equally naked blonde girl sitting up on the bed, clutching a blanket to her chest in panic. Then it closed again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you had company over from yesterday!" came the voice of his mother from the hallway. Then, in a slightly more scolding tone: "I told you to inform us beforehand if you were bringing someone home!"
At this point, Ernest just wanted to curl up and die from embarrassment. Meanwhile Jessica was a bit more quick-witted: "Sorry Mrs. Redmond! The whole thing was a bit spontaneous, and you were already asleep when we got here!"
"It's not the end of the world I guess," came the reply from the hallway. "Did you two 'do something' last night? I hope you used protection if you did!"
"Mom PLEASE! Yes we did, and yes we remembered!"
"It's okay honey, you're eighteen, just hurry up and get ready if you don't want to be late to school today!" They could hear footsteps leaving down the stairs.
Ernest took a moment to survey the situation, realizing the only clothes Jessica had were not only a completely inappropriate slutted-up version of her cheerleading outfit, but also completely destroyed. "Oh no Jess, what are you going to wear?"
Jess shot him a 'You got to be kidding me' glare, "You do realize I'm a genie with magical wish-granting powers and you are the one wielding them, right Master?"
Ernest's jaw dropped for a second, then shut again, "Right. That's what got us into this mess in the first place. Want me to fix you up right now?"
"Just a second," Jessica repositioned herself in anticipation of the coming wish, "Okay, go."
"I wish we were both cleaned up and dressed decently."
Clothes rippled into being on Jessica's body, hugging and tightening her curves while her hair de-frizzed and dropped cleanly down her shoulders. She stiffened and shuddered. "God, I forgot how overwhelming this feels. Please don't wish for too many things today, okay?"
"Okay."
"And we're still giving the ring to Tiffany, no matter how good you made me feel last night."
"Right," Ernest said dejectedly. What would become of their relationship? "Can we still... be a bit more than just friends?"
The question hung in the air for a while as the two exchanged meaningful glances.
"Well, I-- I mean you're actually a pretty nice Master-- I mean a pretty nice guy all things considered, I just-- What would all the people think? I mean you know they thought of you as a pity invite to my party... wait. Oh my god what happened to the people at the party? Ohmygodohmygodohmygod I hope they didn't break anything at my home and what would they think of my sudden disappearance ohmygodohmygodohmygod!"
Jess frantically patted her clothes for her phone before diving at the pile of ripped clothing Ernest was sitting on and fishing it out from under him. Her lock screen showed 58 missed messages. "Shitshitshitshitshitshit--"
"Calm down Jess. I wish the people at the party yesterday all had a good time and didn't question where you went all of a sudden, and that they left without making a mess of your place."
Just as Jessica unlocked her phone, she let out a yelp as the power rushed through her again. The scary red badge on her messaging app went from 58 to 12, which were in a chill after-party discussion group. Reading the satisfied comments of her friends, she let out a sigh of relief, "Okay, I guess they're fine. Still it's a bit scary what those wishes can do, changing people's minds like that... I don't think I'm comfortable with anyone making too many of them."
"Sure, let's go eat some breakfast and then we'll meet Tiffany at school," Ernest said, "I have to go to the bathroom first though, you can wait downstairs for me."
How does the rest of the morning go?
