Chapter 31

What’s next?
Friday. Guest in the Debate Club.
On Thursday, while Emily and Megan silently worked on the assignments you gave them (Identifying elements of the periodic table in everyday objects for Emily and identifying the key events of WW1 for Megan), you gave the document Ms. Owens sent you a quick look.
Today’s debate is about whether or not voting age should be lowered to allow minors to have an impact on elections. It should be interesting, you can already think of a few arguments and counter-arguments that might pop up.
You did not expect to see two girls glaring daggers at each other as soon as you entered the club room. When Ms. Owens tells you that this debate will decide who will be the team captain, you start to understand. It seems the two have something of a rivalry that, while it doesn’t delve into hate, does cause a lot of friction between them.
You’re only one of the judges, along with two other girls. Second years that apparently also do well in Ms. Owen’s English class. They don’t seem very fond of you, if their looks of contempt are any indication, but you didn’t really expect them to.
With one last advice from Ms. Owens to “show no mercy”, the debate starts with a girl that introduces herself as Katherine Brown. She’s a gorgeous redhead with long hair, a slim, curvy body and slightly freckled face. She has a relatively small chest, at least compared to her opponent. She speaks confidently and fluently, introducing the audience (The judges, other club members and the teacher) to the topic of debate, her side in the discussion, and defining key concepts. She does an excellent job.
Next comes her big chested rival, Sophia Johnson. She has dark, shoulder-length wavy hair, full lips that remind you of Emma’s and hips only slight wider than her waist accompanied by a plump bubble butt. She’s overall an amazing beauty. She begins exposing her arguments clearly and to the point, without over explaining any of them.
You listen carefully as Katherine exposes her arguments next, then Sophia gives her counter arguments, followed again by Katherine before both close with their conclusions to the topic. The room applauds, as do you.
To prevent your opinion from being buried in the comments of your upperclassmen, Ms. Owens uses a voting system, where each judge gives their opinion on who won with their own arguments and feedback. Sadly, you go last, and with one vote each, it’s up to you to decide the winner.
Who wins?
