A stuffed bear

Lauren decided on a stuffed brown bear that was soft and was holding a plush red heart. She brought the stuffed bear to where her mom was waiting in line. Michelle turned to Lauren. "Oh, Lauren. Did you pick out a nice toy? Make sure to ask for it if you really want the toy. Don't forget to say the magic word."

Lauren wanted to die. It was bad enough she had to pick one out, but she had to ask for it in front of all these people in line. "May I please get this stuffed bear, mommy?" Lauren asked.

Some of the people snickered around her making Lauren blush. "I suppose, but I picked out a better one for you," Michelle said as she held up a bright pink stuffed unicorn with glitter and sparkles on it.

It was visible for everyone to see. "Uh... thank you, mom. It's so great!" Lauren said as she blushed even redder at the embarrassing childish toy.

"I'll tell you what. Since you've been good on our little shopping trip, I will get you both, what do you say about that?" Michelle said.

Lauren put on a fake smile. "Thank you so much, mom!"

Michelle smiled as they walked up to the register. Lauren wasn't even paying attention as Michelle put up the diapers and toys for the cashier.

"Oh my god, Lauren? Is that you?"

Lauren looked up and gasped.
