So He Could Pretty Much Do Anything He Needed To Do. For Now, He Decided To Become A Student In Transfiguration and Charms Under Professor's McGonagall and Flitwick. So He Could Take The Opportunity To Become More Skilled In Both Subjects, and To Lead The Slytherin Quidditch Team, Retain His Position Of Head Boy, and Maybe Earn A Bit Of Extra Credit On The Side.

McGonagall Was Officially The New Headmistress In The Absence Of Snape, Dumbledore, and Anybody Else Willing To Take The Position. Marvolo Could See McGonagall Becoming An Actual Headmaster, and Flitwick Becoming McGonagall's Deputy Or Assistant Headmaster. Of Course Professor Slughorn Could Easily Become Headmaster, and Marvolo Could Become The Replacement Head Of House In A Few Years. Actually, To Marvolo's Mind, There Was Never A Gaunt In A Teaching Position Or Headmaster Role Except For Maybe One, and She Was Mad As A Hatter, Or So The Story Went. But Marvolo Was The Last Of His Bloodline, and Daphne's Bloodline Had A Blood Curse On It, So Marvolo Wasn't Sure If He Would Be Willing To Bring That Problem Into His Family Tree. Ideally A Black, Malfoy, Lestrange, Or Any Other Notable Pureblood Family Would Be Ideal, But The Lestrange Family Were Legally Extinct, The Malfoy's Had No Female Heirs, and The Only Remaining Black Was The Lady Mother Of Draco. This Left The Weasley's As A Maybe Match, But Ginny Was With Harry, and Marvolo Wasn't About To Risk Loosing Face Face With The Other Families.
