Femzo paced back and forth in her room, waiting anxiously. It had been over an hour since she’d finished her performance and left the stage. Where were Jack and Erica? An hour of time should have been quick to pass when compared to all the time she’d been harboring thoughts of ****, but the anticipation and the lack of action made each minute feel like hours.

Just as Femzo was about to lose any semblance of patience, there was a knock on her door. She opened it to reveal Jack and Erica with confused expressions. “I’m sorry,” Erica said. “We just finished dinner. I’m not really sure what we’re doing here.”

“It’s about time you got here,” Femzo declared as she grabbed Erica by the arm, pulling her into the room. “What took you guys so long?

Jack followed the two of them into the room with some concern. “I’m not sure why you are pulling my wife into your room. We’ve already apologized for intruding and we’d be happy to go back to our room so you can enjoy your evening.”

Femzo sneered and let go of Erica so that she could close the door while Jack moved to stand next to his wife making sure that she was alright. “Don’t you worry. I have everything I need to enjoy this evening right here. Sleep!”

Jack and Erica fell back into trance.
