Brenda's friends need to chat

Leaving the classroom with a promise to be back right after school, Brenda encountered Nadia and Laurel waiting in the hallway for her.

"Hey, we need to talk," Nadia said.

"What about?"

"Not here. You've got a spare block, right? Let's go someplace private." Brenda shrugged and nodded, following her friends out of the classroom.

They strode down the hallway and out of the school, slowing as they got outside. They walked towards the unoccupied tennis courts, Nadia and Laurel leaning against the chain link fencing and turning to Brenda.

"There's a couple of girls want to join up," Nadia said with a smile.

"How did they find out?" Brenda asked with a worried frown.

"They were partying with Diana, and she was high, and she said something."

"Stupid bitch," Brenda grumbled, shaking her head.

"Yeah, but it's done now," Laurel said calmly. "Now they want in. And if they're in, they won't talk. Which they might if they're not in."

"Shit. Who are they?"

"Samantha, and that blue haired chick Faye," Nadia said. "You know, the one with the nose ring."

"She's weird. I dunno."

"She's not bad, when you start to talk to her," Laurel said. "She's actually pretty chill, and she's smart too."

"They're going to meet us at Starbucks after school," Nadia added. "I told them it was your call."

"Did you tell them how it works?"

"The basics. We didn't want to go to far without talking to you," Laurel said. "Diana told them some but they have questions. They're really interested. Especially Samantha."

"Yeah, I think she's got some kinks," Nadia giggled. "So you'll meet them right?"

"Yeah, but not right after school. I've got some stuff I have to take care of. Tell them to make it seven"

"Great. See you there. Don't worry Bren, it'll be cool. And two extra girls will help right? The way business is going?"

"Yeah, I'm just worried about Diana yapping. I'll have to talk to her."
