Up on the rooftop

Negi stood blinking as Asuna's parting words hit his brain.

Negi, thinking: If i didn't know better, i'd think she missed me. Nah! Not Asuna. sigh Anyway, now what should i do?

He left the classroom and started walking down the hall, eventually coming to a door that said 'roof access'.

Negi: Why not? I always like the view from up there.

He took the stairs, and found himself overlooking Mahora Academy, high school area. His eyes widened to take it all in. All the school buildings were dark, but the dorms were all lit up from inside. He walked to the edge and sat down on it letting his feet dangle. He turned as a small noise came from beside him. A baby, sitting down with him.

Negi: Eh!? Whose child is this? And how did it get up he-*

His thought was cut short as the baby leaned forward. Negi reached out to grab it, but wasn't fast enough. He jumped down after it, grabbing it within a second.

Negi: [My wand!!]

From it's resting place on the roof, Negi's staff flew down to meet him. Negi grabbed it and rose back up to where he was before.

?, times two: Negi-sensei!

Negi: DWAH!? Chi-chizuru! Natsumi!

The lovely pair stood silent, staring at their teacher.

Negi: It-it wasn't what you think!! It's...um, CG!!

Natsumi: CG only works on computers. Hence the C?

Negi: Damn! thinking I guess only Yuna would fall for that!

Chizuru: Nevermind that, Natsumi! He saved Tsukiko. If he doesn't want his methods questioned, we shouldn't do it.

Natsumi: I guess...

Chizuru: Thank you, Negi-sensei. he handed her the baby Tsukiko! You naughty thing. Roofs are for people who peep at girls. Isn't it, Negi-sensei?

Negi: YesNO!! I-i was not peeping!!

Chizuru: Ha ha ha. Are you sure? I won't be mad if you were.

Natsumi: He doesn't have to peep. He can ask at least seven students if he wants to see something like that.

Chizuru: Such scorn. Bad.

Chizuru laughed rapped Natsumi's head with a finger.

Natsumi: HEY! What was that for!?

Chizuru: For spreading rumors about your classmates being exhibitionists. Bad.

Rap.

Natsumi: STOP DOING THAT!!

Rap.

Natsumi: NOW WHAT!?

Chizuru: For raising your voice to your elders.

Natsumi: YOU'RE NOT OLDER THAN ME!!!

Chizuru: But you're setting a bad example for Tsukiko.

Natsumi: Yeah, yeah.

Rap.

Natsumi: Dammit! What'd i do that time!?

Chizuru: That one i did because it's fun. Ha ha ha ha!

Natsumi: Rrrrr.

Negi, thinking: Still teasing Natsumi, as always. Amazing how she can still annoy her like that and still be her friend. Almost like Asuna and Ayaka.

Natsumi: Well, if i'm gonna get hit anyway, what did you do to save that kid?

She flinched, but looked up to find Chizuru looking at Negi anticipating an answer.

Negi: um.....i, uh....
