Jessica rejects Elizabeth's advances.

Jessica shakes her head and screams "get off of me you monster!" She pushes hard against Elizabeth, but Elizabeth is too strong.

Elizabeth slaps Jessica, hard. "You ungrateful wretch! I shared the most wonderful gift with you, and this is the thanks I get? I should have drained you dry like I did with your friends!" Elizabeth snarls, her face twisted in rage, fangs bared.

Jessica remembers now that she had been out with her best friends, Penelope and August, the night before to celebrate her new job. Was it even the night before, she wonders?

Elizabeth jumps off of the bed and yanks Jessica to her feet, tugging hard on her arm. She drags Jessica out of the room, down a hallway, and down several flights of stairs. Jessica twists and struggles, but the older vampire is overpowering. Their pace is frantic, but Jessica has time to look into an open room. She sees a dark woman strapped to a table as three beautiful vampiresses drink from her. One on her neck, one on her wrist, and another on her thigh. They look up and smile at Jessica, blood dripping from their fangs. They pass another room where a naked pregnant woman is suspended naked from the ceiling. A georgeous vampiress with red curls in a leather bodysuit gorges herself at the pregnant woman's breast, as blood drips over her breasts and belly. The pregnant woman's head lolls backwards, and Jessica can't tell if it is in ecstasy or pain.

They descend a final flight of stairs, and enter a long corridor lined with cells. Inside, Jessica sees, smells, human women of various ages and ethnicities. Some are covered in blood and bruises, while others are quite clean, their cells decidedly cleaner and more elaborate. Some of the women are dressed in fancy robes, reading in bed or applying makeup at vanities while others are naked, chained to the wall in Spartan concrete quarters, quietly sobbing. Some look up at Jessica with sympathy, others plead for help with their eyes.

"If you can't show me the respect I deserve as your maker, you can stay with the livestock." Elizabeth growls.

The pair stop in front of a cell occupied by a slender, mousy girl with brown hair and big eyes. She is pleasant, but not beautiful by any stretch. The girl sits on a cot in the sparsely decorated cell.

Elizabeth pulls a key from her gown, unlocks the cell and roughly shoves Jessica inside. She slams the bars shut, and smirks. "When you prove that yourself worthy of the gift you've been given, I'll let you rejoin us upstairs. You won't leave this cell until you eat this wretch. You have the rest of the night to decide whether you want to embrace the glory of your transformation, or whether you wish to face the sun and burn."

Elizabeth spins on her heel and glides down the hallway. The girl on the bed stares at Jessica with wide eyes, holding her knees. Jessica sits on the bed and puts her head in her hands.

Jessica barely understands what has happened to her. She has been kidnapped and turned by some coven of vampires. Apparently, she will burn if exposed to sunlight.

Jessica looks at the girl, who has not said a word and stares back anxiously. She wears a ratty t shirt and panties, and Jessica spots bite wounds on her wrist, neck and thighs. Jessica heart fills with sadness for this poor girl, but the girl smells so, so good...
