Jessica rejects what she's become

Jessica asks the trembling girl "what's your name?"

The girl looks like a deer in headlights, so Jessica moves closer placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. The girl flinches but Jessica is firm. "It's okay, I won't hurt you. My name is Jessica. What's your name."

The girl relaxes a bit and quietly says "my name is Sally."

"How long have you been here, Sally"

"It's hard to tell time down here...I think a few months."

"How did you get here?"

Sally pauses, staring at the wall. "Same as you, I imagine. I was out one night with my sister, and that's the last thing I remember. We woke up here. I think they killed her. They drink from me every night or so. I don't know how this lottery works-me a bloodslave, my sister murdered, and you .... You turned to one of them." Sally begins to sob herself, and turns away from Jessica.

Jessica can feel the bloodlust rising in her. Sally smells so appetizing. Her fangs elongate and she moves closer on the cot towards Sally. She closes her eyes and swallows hard, taking a deep breath. She suppresses her hunger, at least for now.

"Sally, we need to get out of here."

"There is no way out." Sally replies, after a long pause.

The women are silent for a long time. Sally says, "why don't you just drain me, and at least save yourself Jessica. I can't go on any longer as a bloodslave."

Sally removes her t shirt, and lies back on the cot, turning her head to the side. Jessica can hear Sally's heartbeat. "Just make it fast...." Sally whispers.

Jessica thinks hard, and decides on her next action
