Jess notices

Jess startles awake almost as if coming from a nightmare, or that move you make when you're falling in a dream and suddenly come awake.

"Everything alright sis?" Richard said, no hint of mockery or menace to be found.

"Uh, yeah. Just had a weird dream slash nightmare, but I'm good." Jess said, although Richard sensed that she was still weary of what happened.

Richard noticed Jess trying to slide one of her hands in her pants without being noticed, as if checking something. He let her feel for what he knew was there. Jess' entire body went still as she suddenly jolted up right and said, "I have to use the bathroom". He watched as his sister ran out of the room and he heard the bathroom door shut. Although he wanted to see this through, his body had another thing coming. He was completely tuckered out after his adventure with the ring, his body betrayed him and his eyes closed, falling back asleep on the bed.
