Chapter 18

Split_Agony
The next morning
First conquest
You awaken early the next morning. Leia and Abby lay completely naked to either side of you, sleeping. Outside, you can hear your brigands packing up camp. They're excited. Ready. And so are you. You and the girls eat some morning rations and head out to join them.
"Is this part of some new update?" an NPC woman asks an hour or so later as you lead your little army past the open palisade and into town.
"Oh god, we're being raided," another one says and runs hysterically into the nearest house.
It's all just quaint little stone farm houses with the occasional shop. Toward the center of town you can see the only two story building; a tavern. You decide that's as good a place as any to set up.
Arriving there, you find that most of the village has already gathered. At the forefront is a short, rotund gentleman whom you assume is the mayor.
"C- can we help you? We're just peaceful farmers here. Don't want no trouble," he says plainly.
"I have no desire to harm any of my fellow NPCs. Indeed, I would prefer that we stand united. I'm aware that there are heroes hiding in your village. Turn them over and we can negotiate the rest of our business peaceably," you say.
"Hiding? Ha! Heroes of light will never hide from the likes of you!" a level 3 elven palidin says, pushing his way to the front of the crowd with a rogue and fighter in tow.
"Is this all of them?" you ask the mayor.
The man opens his mouth to speak but the palidin cuts him off, "The three of us are more than enough to deal with the likes of you!"
"I wasn't speaking to you," you say angrily.
"In the name of Lowrek, Prince of Elves... demon, begone!" the palidin cries, brandishing a war-hammer high in the air.
"Yo dude, I think he a necromancer. Not a demon," the fighter says.
"Whatever!" the elf screams back.
Holding out your hand, palm turned up with fingers reaching toward the sky you cast, "Bones."
To either side of the palidin a black casm opens and your armor clad skeletal companions crawl forth.
"Cretin!" he yells and bashes one with his hammer.
There's a bright light and an electric 'ZAP!' as the weapon makes contact, doing a surprising amount of damage and stunning Bones Jr. He must be wielding an enchanted weapon, you observe. But then your other skeleton strikes, cleaving both hand and weapon from owner.
"Ghaaaaa!" the elf screams, falling to his knees while clutching his bloody stump.
The rogue and fighter quickly draw their own swords and come to their comrades aid. But the skeletons are several levels above them. In no time at all, the three heroes are subdued, with their health deep in the red. The skeleton's disarm them and **** them to kneel before you.
"Pathetic," you scoff.
"Abby, wanna help me strip them down and tie them up?" Leia says, throwing an arm around the blond cleric.
"Can we, Master?" Abby asks excitedly.
"Of course. And find out if any of them knows anything of interest while you're at it. I trust the two of you can find a way to persuade them to talk," you say.
At that, Leia becomes the giddy one. Together with a dozen brigands, they lead the prisoners off at sword-point.
"Don't worry guys. It's fun getting tied up," Abby says.
"Not the way they're getting tied up," Leia says and laughs wickedly.

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
