Piper helps her

"Sure, I can spare a few minutes" Piper smiled. She suddenly felt guilty for all the excuses she made to Cathy. "Lead the way, Cathy."

Catherine tried not to show her excitement at Piper's acceptance of the task. She took her by the hand, and led her up the brick pathway to the portico. The path split to the left and right, leading up to a set of steps on both sides. The left path led to the atrium, while the right led to the front door. Her house was one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood, having been built during the Victorian era. For such an old house, it was still in excellent condition. The portico itself extended from one end of the old house to the other.

Piper looked long at the deep brown columns that supported the portico's roof. Above the portico, three gables loomed skyward, each adorned with spires that made Piper think of spears. The house was trimmed in dark brown, while the original wood paneling exterior was a golden tan. It was a place out of time that one of her favorite authors, Edgar Allen Poe, would have been envious of.

Catherine led Piper up the right path, and up the steps to the front door. She opened the door, and bid the girl to enter before her. Piper did so, and was completely amazed at what she saw inside the house. Even the interior of the house was like a place out of time. You could almost see yourself in the wooden floors. The Victorian era wallpaper and furnishings were immaculate. It was like the entire house had been transported from one era to another before it had time to age.

Piper was in awe. "You have a very beautiful house!" she exclaimed to Catherine. She really felt bad now for making excuses not to come inside. She didn't know what to expect in all actuality. Her imagination ran wild with thoughts of darkness fro the way Catherine had creeped her out. She could almost imagine whips and chains everywhere.

"Thank you, my dear." Catherine smiled at the young girl. "I'm glad to see we both have a deep appreciation for the Victorian period. I fell in love with this house the first moment I laid eyes on it." She motioned for Piper to have a seat on the red crushed velvet love seat to the left of the door. "Have a seat, my dear. I have to get changed, and then we'll see about the task at hand."

Piper sat down, and watched as Catherine quickly sprang up the old Victorian staircase to the left. It was only a few minutes before she returned, dressed in shorts and a tank top. "Okay, I'm ready" said Catherine. "Follow me." Piper stood up and followed her through the elaborate dining room to the kitchen.

Catherine turned left, and opened a door that led down to the basement. She flipped on the basement light, and motioned for Piper to go down ahead of her. Piper obliged her, and went down the old staircase, which was itself in remarkable shape. When she got down to the bottom, she stood in a small hallway. There was one door straight in front of her, and another door off to her left. She waited patiently for Catherine to come down.

Catherine shut the basement door behind her, and followed behind Piper. Once at the bottom of the stairs, she removed a key from the pocket of her shorts, and opened the door to the left. "It's in here" she said, and pushed Piper through the door, into the darkness. She moved quickly through the door herself, and locked it behind her with a deafening click. She felt for the light switch at the side of the door, and flipped it on. There before her lie Piper, unconscious. She hurried and knelt beside her to check on her. She was still breathing, much to Catherine's relief. She'd have a nasty bump on her head, but nothing major. "It took a lot to get you here, my dear. At long last, you are mine!" She giggled. "We're going to have so much fun together, you and I. I'm going to train you, and you're going to love me."
