Protecting the World as we know it.

"And what goal would that be?", Richard asked cautiously.

"There are those in the world who use these powerful artifacts to help themselves or work towards causes that would cause the worst nightmares of any child on this planet to come true", Lily said, stopping for only a second staring off into a vision that Richard could not see. "We are the protectors of the planet, our goal is to find and protect ancient artifacts like the one you have to stop them from getting into the hands of the wrong people"

As Richard was about to say something, they rounded the corner facing two giant doors almost 30 or 40 feet tall. It was as almost as if they sensed that Lily and Richard were there because they started to swing open. A light shined brightly as a robed man stood in the doorway, his details blocked by the shadow of the light shooting past him.

"Ahh Ms. Longtail, how good it is to see you. I see you have another student with you?" The man said in a slightly rough voice, although Richard felt a warmth of happiness spread through him like nothing bad in the world could happen again after he heard it.

"Yes Professor!" Lily said bowing slightly at the waist. "I've been watching him for the past week or so, you were right he is a guardian. He was chosen a couple days ago, luckily you had me on him, some of the Mortemen were on him."

"Is that so?" The robed man said, stepping out of the light.

Richard could see that the man was older, probably in his late 60's. His hair had gone of any color it may have once possessed and a slight beard grew down from his chin. A smile sat upon the mans face, hidden underneath his unkept mustache and beard.

"Well, I'm glad he is unharmed! How nice it is to meet you Richard! I know things are pretty confusing, and I'm sorry I can't offer you any answers to your questions right now but I have very important business to attend to right now. Nartolli has need of my presence but Lily here will show you to your quarters." The man said as he shook Richard's hand.

"Right now, good to meet you, most of your questions will be answered tomorrow. Good day." He said, walking past Lily and Richard leaving Richard with more questions than he started with...
